The nurse, who’d been holding her breath, sighed in relief and approached. She cast a smug look at the guards, who reluctantly opened the door, and averted her gaze as she entered the room. Even in his calmness, Damien's aura was intense, the nurse shivered in fear when his expression became rigid and stony upon seeing her. His eyes, glaringly dark and filled with malice, scared her.

She could only sob harder. Before she could register the situation in her head, the nurses grabbed her arms and pushed her fragile self into a room filled with mental health patients and pointed to a bed for her. As they closed the door behind her, she flinched. Her back slid down the wall in fear as she watched the patients both men and women, make their way to her. They looked scarier than anything she had encountered in her life. They were wild-looking, their eyes made her skin crawl and their fingers were stretched to her. Their nails, oh Lord. Their nails were sharp and unkempt. Their hairs were on a whole different level.

Modern, furnished and beautiful and looking new everyday although the house was five years old already. Juana's coffee was transparent, lot of water,lot of sugar, no milk. So she could see her face while sipping at it. Her big blue eyes were a bit undefined, her expression showed fear with a mixture of helplessness and unusual calm. Then the dream came again. Avocado. Garden. Branch. Third branch. Corpse dripping with blood. Loose. Screaming. Empty House. Dream. "Oh my goodness" she sighed, dropping her half empty mug. She tried to make meaning out of it, but it was a little creepy..

I apologize. “These halls can be spooky late at night, believe me. I’ve asked the maintenance crew to fix that light for weeks now and they continue to ignore me,” the nurse says in a comforting tone. “It’s like they’re waiting for someone to get murdered before they do their job,” she jokes, although I don’t find it funny. Watching her leave, I can’t help but to be relieved. “Waiting for someone to be murdered? Who says that to a stranger?” I whisper to myself when I know she’s long gone, leaving me alone in the dank nook.

I steeled myself and opened the door. The hallway was awash in red. Smears and spatters of bright and dark blood covered the walls, the floor, and my door. My head reeled. What the hell happened? Why was there so much blood outside my door? Hadn't the guy in 603 seen it through his peephole? I couldn't help looking toward apartment 603. To my surprise, the door stood half-open, and it was dead quiet inside. I picked my way past the bloodstains and made my way to apartment 603.

They were unsure whether or not the nurses were humans or ghosts, but they were surrounded as the nurses cornered them step by step. Everyone froze with fright. "H—Help! There are real ghosts here!" "Help! The ghost killed someone!" "Someone! Anyone! We quit! We're leaving!" There was no response from inside the closed room other than the sound of the girls' cries. Seeing that the female nurse was about to stab her with a knife, Yash's eyes were bloodshot with fear, and tears welled up in his eyes, "Mommy! Mommy, help—" "Hahahahaha..." someone laughed all of a sudden.

Anthony, sitting beside me, started to get a little antsy, but the sight of me sitting calmly in the waiting chair helped soothe his nerves. It was several hours later when the screams of pain were replaced by a single shriek that wasn't Hannah's. Then, the doors to the delivery room burst open, and several nurses came tumbling out in a panic. The nurse who had helped Hannah onto the stretcher was now sitting on the floor, looking absolutely terrified. Her hands were shaking uncontrollably as she kept muttering, "I-It's a ghoul! It's a freaking ghoul!"

I’d heard there were places where you could rent the tapes for a lot less than what they cost to buy, but it hadn’t changed my mind. I started towards the doorway with the curtain but stopped short by the tapes next to it. This section was at least twice the size of all the others. The covers of these boxes were all screams and knives. Bloody chainsaws and heaving breasts. The sign resting here was carefully drawn in black gothic type letters, each dripping red: “Horror.” Hanging by a piece of tape off every other shelf were letter-sized flyers exactly like the ones that man was putting on windshields out at the Farm and Fleet. I peeled one off to get a closer look.

He was going to kill me. "Shall we just stand here? Don't you mind moving?" His forehead was furrowed. I have to hold on to anything so I don’t fall down. Blood poured from the three men's heads. Death. I blinked, trying to fade away the horrible picture in my mind. "Yeah, woman..." I couldn't hear what he said. I'm going to fall. My knees did not have the strength to support me. Why don't I like to be a nurse? Seeing blood and people dying makes me sick. And just an instance. The blackness embraced me. I can feel my body hitting something hard, but it's not cold, it's warm.

Pushing open the door, I stopped when I noticed who was sitting on the floor, backing away ever so cautiously. Well, what are the odds? It was her, that little nurse from the hospital. Her beautiful brown eyes were blown open in fear, and the only noise that occupied the space was her heavy breathing. Every time she scooted back I would match her with one step until her back finally hit the wall. Walking forward I crouched down, so I was on the same level as her. Tilting my head I offered her a smile. "Well well well, look what we have here..." I started.
