It was a scream the kind that summons every sleeping soul, begging it to awaken and witness the nightmare with her. She stumbled backward, clutching the curtain as if to draw it shut and shield her from the horrific image. But it was too late. The scene was etched in her memory: Sid, a lifeless doll, hanging in death, his head bowed, his blood soaking the seat and cascading down the stone passage like a river of hell.

I should just watch some movies to ease my mind, since I'm done with my school works and other related stuffs. Horror movie seems quite nice; I think it can relieve my thoughts on the pendant if I watched some. NO. IT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA. I am wrapped like a burrito right now because of that damned movie I had watched. I just watched it to erase my thoughts about the car situation earlier but now! Scary ideas are forming on my mind and I can’t sleep! This is a whole level of being dumb. I am now regretting why do I did that, what is really going inside my head to think that watching a movie, a scary movie to be exact, alone?!

But what do you do when the monster is already in the hallway, wearing your father’s throat like a stolen garment?

“What did you have in mind?” “Food first,” he answered, no hesitation at all on his part. “I know where to find the best pizza. After that, we’ll decide. I’m feeling an outdoor film, maybe.” “You like outdoor films?” He nodded, flashing me a wry smile. “Midnight horror movies in the park happen to be a guilty pleasure of mine.” “Midnight?” I all but squeaked. “It’s a work night.” And also, horror? I wasn’t squeamish, but I just knew I would freak out walking all the way back to the loft by myself after that. If muggers smelled fear the way some believed they did, I would be a prime target.
