It was veering deep into the black, silent woods of the Nightfang Pack border—a lawless stretch of land known for rogue wolves and brutal executions. "Driver," Freya said, her hand pressing against the wooden frame of the door. "This isn't the way to Tongfu Road." The driver didn't speak. He simply pulled back his hood, revealing a jagged scar running across his throat and the faint yellow glow of a rogue wolf's eyes in the rearview mirror. "Short cut, human," the driver growled, speeding the horses up into a full, violent gallop into the dark woods.

They are all walking along the road and in the hands of some of them, are the unfortunate people that must have been on the road at the wrong time, and most likely the ones we heard screaming only moments ago. We stand there and listen to the loud stomping of the monsters as they walk along the road. They stop maybe twenty meters away from us, and then suddenly there is silence, a long and painful silence.
