Fated To Mate
Alpha, newly risen, still wearing the power like a coat that didn’t quite fit yet.
Kael’s spine locked. He felt Blade uncoil inside him, slow and deliberate, like a blade sliding from its sheath. The door swung wide.
Three men stepped through. The alpha led, twenty-two, maybe twenty-three, tall enough to fill the doorway, shoulders broad under a dark denim jacket. Confidence rolled off him in waves, but there was a flicker beneath it: the need to be seen as unbreakable. His beta flanked left, solid, quiet, eyes already mapping the room for exits and choke points. On the right came the gamma, leaner, quicker, with a lazy grin that promised trouble more than humor.
