The Hunter and the Vampire
It was a hotel.
I wanted to smack myself – and the rest of the hunters, too. It made so much sense that I could scarcely believe we’d missed it. If, as we’d suspected, an entire clan had moved to Seafall, then they’d have struggled to find enough flats or houses to rent in the area. Most clans preferred to stay together, too, or at least in a cluster of houses close to one another – whether it be for protection or for company, though I sincerely doubted that vampires felt any sort of companionship with one another, vamps joined clans because they didn’t want to be nomads, didn’t want to be alone. The perfect solution to that was a recently vacated hotel, on the outskirts of town.
