Beneath the Howling Pines

Beneath the Howling Pines

The Cursed One The hunger was never quiet. It gnawed at my ribs, an ancient and endless ache that twisted everything I once was into something dark, something primal. Every breath I took was tainted by the coppery scent of blood, by the stench of decay that clung to my own fur. But still… I remembered. Not everything. Not names, not places. But fragments. Echoes of laughter. The warmth of a den in the dead of winter. The sound of a heartbeat not driven by rage.

Backwards Isn't an Option

Backwards Isn't an Option

Then, he spoke in a voice full of sorrow and affection. "The entire Howl of the Moon Pack and I are waiting for you." At that moment, his voice became the greatest source of comfort throughout the long night. After ending the mind link with my father, I gently touched my flat stomach, and a wave of grief surged through me. The pack's healer told me that the medicine Liam gave me was actually a slow-acting poison. It dulled my ability to sense the mate bond, but at the same time, it had a severe impact on my child.

Dark Wolves

Dark Wolves

He directed his speech to the doctor and ran out to that suspicious tunnel And he is bare-chested..sweat fills his chest and..muscles He entered quickly without caring. The tunnel or dungeon was very deep, behind him were the guards and men of the herd of Ultm - his Mate 's flock - " Alpha". Harry shrieked running toward a deeply fainted man, with many, many men near him, some of them dead - some dead - and others breathing hard, just like Jack. Zayn's gaze shook, cautiously looking at the place , "Harry let him go," ordering him and the rest of his pack to oppose him .

Dirty Saint

Dirty Saint

There was a possibility she'd left the room for God knows what. The whole damn house stank with blood. There were many lifeless bodies on the ground as well. We'd managed to eliminate a lot of them. The ones who were unlucky enough to still be alive were downstairs in the basement, locked up and waiting for my wrath. The door to my office came in sight as I heard my phone ring. I was irritated. I wasn't in the mood to speak with anyone, but I saw that it was one of the guys at the warehouse who monitored most of my goods.

"I'll go in first. Like it or not, we're going to do what we have to do to take them down." Seven nodded as a low menacing growl erupted from deep within his throat. I could see that he was in the mood for some payback. I peered down the hallway, and several hunters turned with assault rifles in hand, so I gunned them down, trying to spare their lives where I could. Walking down the hallway, I kicked a weapon out of reach of one that was alive as I passed. The man popped up and grabbed my leg, but Seven ripped out his throat and blood splattered over his fur. He looked up at me and spat out a chunk of the man, and nodded, ready to go.

The Pack's Hybrids

The Pack's Hybrids

“C’mon Butch, do your poo already so we can go home.” Heath watched them turn the corner before leading the way across the road into Aislen’s front garden. The vampire still wasn’t there. He did a lap around the house, stopping so that they could mark their territory and sniff into the corners, identifying the scents of neighborhood cats who had probably come hunting down the nest of mice in the tangled honeysuckle. There were other scents, human scents, crossing the gravelled front yard to the porch and down the side of the house. Perhaps the realtor, Heath reasoned, or someone Aislen had employed to do something around the property.

If you're looking for a story about an incel that gets their just desserts, this is the book for you! I haven't read a book in this series yet that doesn't deliver an emotional punch in the worst and best ways.
Dawn
That’s the end of the 4th book in the series. Can’t wait for the next book “the rebels”. This has been a fantastic series & though the book spends a lot of time going back & forth into the past & present it allows for those who have not read the whole series so far to keep up. Well done Everleigh xx

HEALER AND THE BEAST

HEALER AND THE BEAST

Zayden asked; fingers curled into a ball, knuckles turning white. “There is one door in the backroom. In fact, it’s not very far from the lady’s room. You think—” Viraj couldn’t even finish when Akshat returned, panting and huffing out loud and deep breaths. “There’s a backdoor,” he wheezed, trying to catch his breath. “I saw,” gulped, “Her scent is there. She must have—” Zayden flicked his hand, gesturing him to stop.

Vows Of Hate

Vows Of Hate

"If my brother is sending people to watch my gates I will deal with them." Nolan said it wasn't that. He slowly pulled his hands out of his jacket pockets. Put them on my desk. He unrolled a small piece of dark plastic fabric. Inside the fabric was some bloody meat covered in a thick greenish-black slime. It smelled sweet, like chemical almonds. It made my throat dry. Nolan told me he went to the kennels to check the timber hounds.. When he got there the three big dogs were lying dead in the weeds behind the storage shed.. They didn't make any noise.

Horror Nights

Horror Nights

The fog in Blackwood Glen had a habit of swallowing sounds, turning the evening into a claustrophobic dampness that clung to my jacket. I had been hiking the lower trails when I found it: a sleek, charcoal-colored cat with eyes like burning sulfur. It wasn’t meowing; it was simply sitting on a moss-covered stump, watching me with an intelligence that felt uncomfortably human. Around its neck was a delicate silver collar with a nameplate: Midnight. Below the name was an address just a mile down the trail.

A Blood-Like Rain (All the Hounds of Hell #2)

A Blood-Like Rain (All the Hounds of Hell #2)

he said flipping the top of the box off completely. Three balls of fur jumped out and rushed to us. Kaden squealed instinctively and backed off, dragging me behind him. “Stop,” he ordered instinctively. The hounds stopped and sat at his feet, tails wagging and their red glowing eyes on him expectantly. “I know of this underworld god who has a three headed dog as a guardian, but those are pretty hard to come by, so I summoned you three hellhounds. You will find them incredibly loyal and protective.”
