Haunter
Halfway through the incantations, Amy paused to turn to us with a promising smile.
“It’s working!” she whispered.
The faintest echo of a cry startled the Haunters. It’d surely been Cristine when Lizzie translated Amy’s words.
“Can anybody help me see?” I whispered.
“Give me your hand,” Edward replied.
I reached out and gasped the moment his cold touch wrapped around my hand. Right before Amy, a spot of light gray mist floated midair, and it was expanding rapidly. Only a few minutes later, while Amy kept reading under her breath, it was a clear white circle. Trisha leaned forward to ask me what I was seeing and I tried to reply as shortly as I could, unable to look away.
