How Long Does Witches Live Novels & Stories

"She is THAT powerful?" "It's more like, her family is that powerful." Said Kitty, "She had been the master of her family for long as well. While she cannot really replace the Coven, she matters MUCH. That's why she could keep her position among the thirteen even though she hasn't been back for long." "How long does a witch live?" Asked Erebus. "Ages, as long as they want, basically." "What? Witches don't die?!" Exclaimed Erebus. "They do. But only at their choice, or by force." Kitty said, "You ever wonder why there are so few of witches where there are so many humans? Their existence started around the same time."

“Alright then, fine with me, let me reword it. You barely perish in the underworld and...” Celestina intruded as she waved her hands in front of Tommy. “That’s not true, either. Until hundred years ago the standard lifetime of a witch was only twice as long as a man’s. They didn’t age as you can see, but they perished in epidemics, they died while giving birth. From burning, from accidents, and so on. And childbirth was a big no to some. Because we can keep bearing offspring as long as we live, childbearing was our number-one killer.” "How did you know all of this young lady? For your age, you seemed to know a lot and you appeared to be older than your original age. Who are you?" Tommy inqui

I ask him. "Yes I am just fine. You do not need to help me with anything. Some of what Rosa suggested a little while ago just caught me off guard. How old is she anyways? She would have to be hundreds of years old to remember the time when wolves and witches worked together and lived in peace." He said. "Really? I did not know it was that long ago. She talked about it like it was yesterday. Do witches live longer than wolves?" I mused aloud. "Yes, if we take proper care of ourselves we do. I was just a child when we were still helping the wolves out but I remember it well." Rosa says from behind, startling me.

But in fourteen days, if the ritual-bonding is not fulfilled, the receiver will… ...Die?' She was astounded intensely by the last sentence on the parchment. In any event, she did not wish to die; she was just too young for death. There was much she had to take care of, and primarily she had to protect the island Muxue Yan had founded. Even though he was back, it did not mean he could live forever to be able to guard it. Now, it appeared that her days were limited. She had wanted to continue protecting the island for a very long time since witches of her kind had a longer lifespan compared to humans. But now, it seemed that she had to find a solution. Fourteen days. It was just too short.

“To answer that, I have been around for a very long time. If I tell you I am 400, to humans, they can see it as just 15 years or so.” No way! Amber thought and her eyes rose. “You have been alive for that long yet you are... so young,” she said with surprise in her eyes. Hazel chuckled and said, “So young and beautiful is it? Well, do not be surprised because I am not that old. For generations, we’ve had accounts of some oldest witches who have lived up to a thousand years.” “How is that even possible?” Amber asked, curious to know. Hazel pursed her lips as she looked at Amber’s curious eyes before she said to her, “Come, let me tell you a story but before that, let me make you comfortable.”

She had also explained to them everything that happened from the time when they were frozen in the glacier boxes up until now and what was going on at the moment. The witches were all shocked upon realizing that it had been seven hundred years since they had last been conscious. Most of them became sad, but it was obvious they fully understood what was going on. These young generation of phoenix witches had been born during that long war so they were not that shocked at the news they received from Yael.

someone asked and most of them seem to hold a shocked expression. Murmurs soon started to fill the room as the ones who were not aware until now, asked the other if it is something they knew also. “Weren’t all the witches burnt during that witch trials that took place over…how many years ago was that again?” another one asked. “If the Blackburn and witches whom we thought had gone extinct are actually still alive, then does that mean the hunters are back too?” “If the hunters are really back again this time, they must have been conspiring on how to cross the borders and attack us. I wonder where their own kind of strength comes from.”

I question him, confused. “You and Aurora. How do you handle knowing she’ll die?” His words hang in the air like a suffocating smoke, and my heart echoes in my ears. “Witches die after two thousand years, but werewolves only live around five hundred years. She’s a hybrid so it’s difficult to say for her but she doesn’t have eternal life like we do.”

She was always so impatient! ‘Yes, mom! I got all I could find. Did you give Oma her next dose of medicine? You know you can't be off on timing or’ ... I quickly began worrying over Oma, my grandmother, well…the only woman I have ever known as my grandmother. She was sick and dying and Mom and I really didn't know how much longer she had to live because well...she wasn't a wolf like us, she was a witch, and witches lived for thousands of years, unlike werewolves that could live for hundreds of years if we were blessed by the goddess.

Araminta sits crumpled in a chair, her eyes hidden behind her hands. She looks exhausted and older than I’ve ever seen the witch look. I know she’s old, at least 90, but she usually has the spry step of a much younger woman. Witches live long lives, about twice that of a human. Most of the time, you’d think she was closer to 55. But not today. Right now, as she sits there half asleep, she looks ready to fall over, every one of her years etched upon her face.
