How Long Should A Novel Chapter Be Novels & Stories

Dear Reader, I really hope you enjoyed this 42-chapter story that spun for over three months on Goodnovel and sadly but gloriously it has come to an end. An end that I believe I delivered quite well, having penned the final words of this story. The idea to develop it actually began way back in 2017 when I was still in high school and I'm finally glad to have been able to craft it much to everybody's liking. Due to all your encouragements, support and love I have been so high on a writing spree that I didn't realize my chapter upload was flowing a little too high past the usual numbers. A chapter too long would mean more costs to you lovely readers and a chapter too short could go very wrong also, and so leaving me with me the choice of breaking them to have a great placement for each chapter and keep the ride going. But with the way it's going, I might finish it at Chapter sixty. I doubt it would end in seventy though. But it isn't impossible. If I see it going to a hundred, I'll just have to write a part two. But sometimes, it's depressing to think I cant never be enough for this field. I leaned on my chair and stared at the ceiling as I clicked the last word of the draft. I don't know if I should continue this. I don't have a proper outline and I can only write a thousand words per chapter which is unusual of me because I usually write three to four thousand words per chapter. I just couldn't find the write words to exprss how I feel. Or maybe, no words could define the thoughts I want to substantiate.

Finally, after the inevitable turn of events the past days had brought upon him, he got himself back to doing what he loved. In general, writing one chapter takes a day long or a night long if you're centered at your focal point, but the tenth chapter had already taken four disrupted nights in the process, although by now, after pushing too hard to concentrate, he was already typing the last sentence of the last paragraph. "At last, finally done" Alleviation hit the right spot as he pressed the period. "That's it for now" He told himself, he saved the document, shut the computer down then surrendered to sleep.

As I think you guys really pay a lot to read a chapter. That's why I thought of finishing this book in 65+ chapters instead of 80+ which would make this book too expensive for you guys to read.
