How Long Should A Novel Chapter Be Novels & Stories

So gentlewolves (this is my nickname for my readers. I just came up with it, what do you my gentlewolves think?) So on to the reason why I am writing this note before the start of the chapter... I was wondering that maybe my chapters are too long So I'll be making it shorter Now instead of the 1k+ words I usually write I'll be writing 600-700 words from now till further notice That is if you my gentlewolves are happy with it

Hi, guys! I just want to leave this note before I locked any chapters. You might start wondering why some chapters will have like part I, part II and so on. It's just that my word count every chapter cannot be shorter than 2000 word count so I have to divide it in order for you to be able to pay it in lesser coins. Rating it poorly because of what you don’t even know is cruel and malicious. I am sad and angry. I am a reader as much as I am a writer and I have read books with short chapters and understood what short chapters meant. Most times my chapter ends at 2.5k or 3k words, but because I know the coin consumption would be higher, I split the chapter into 2. I don’t like it but I have to understand and be considerate. I am taking this as an outlet to let you know sometimes we do what we do to make it easier for every reader. Getting rated poorly because of it is cruel. I barely get many reviews on the front page of the book so a review this poor would set me back so far.

there will be lots of drama and battles, and it will take me between 10 and 20 chapters, at least, so you'll be stuck with this story for a while. thank you for your support, and please let me know if you want to read more from certain characters before the end. I picked up the book but the words blurred after two pages. My body was too lazy and turned on to focus. My eyes grew heavy, the warmth making everything feel loose and heavy and I drifted off into a light doze my bare tits rising and falling with each slow breath my nipples still stiff and shiny from the lotion. I don’t know how long I was out but the next sound that cut through the quiet was the low slow creak of the shared fence gate opening. My eyes snapped open. Marcus stood there shirtless, his work jeans hanging low on his hips showing the deep lines of his abs and that trail of hair disappearing into his waistband.

Don wrote the last chapter across December. Not the full December — the last chapter was not a long piece of writing in the word-count sense. The essays had varied in length: the Thessaloniki piece had been the longest, running to nearly eight thousand words, because the argument about the encounter required the full architecture of the thesis, the counter-thesis, and the synthesis that Don had arrived at in the museum's upper gallery. The Norway piece had been shorter — five thousand words — because the argument about darkness was more concentrated, more dependent on the quality of the specific experience rather than the elaboration of a multi-part claim. Most have asked how long the book will be. My editor and I are still discussing it, but it should be around 300 chapters because it will have Zane and Ian's story incorporated.
