How Long Should A Novel Chapter Be Novels & Stories

Later, I would be able to feel proud that I wrote something about my country’s local myth (screw inconsistencies and lack of information which I patched up with my own imagination). By the way, my apologies if in the end, I did not really reveal any spoiler. Haha. I was just writing down my messy thoughts. Alright. I’m guilty so let me just proceed to answering questions that I know some have in mind. - *How many chapters would The Ascension have? Can’t say for sure, but I estimate, it would be between 200-300. The chapters of this story are long anyway, I believe I would be able to cover everything that needed to be covered with that number of chapters.

Because I have a very good feeling that what Rory has just signed on my cast may as well be my death sentence! END OF PART I. My book will be divided into several parts... to show the end of one part of the characters lives and the beginning of another. Everybody lies will have five parts, each consisting or around eighteen to thirty chapters... so it's going to be a long book. Thanks for your patience with me, and the support. I experienced writer’s block 4 times while writing this. I thought I wouldn't make it. But after 6 months, here I am, April 28, 2021 writing a letter to myself and to everyone who read the book and also did not read it hahahaha. Well, it was a happy, sad and beautiful memory that I had with this one and there was no time that I wished I finished it quite earlier. The plan was to have it till 60 chapters and yet because of my characters moving on their own will, we arrived with 123 chapters.

Also, I was able to request to make the next three chapters into one, which is Chapter 114, so CH 114 will cost more than usual, but it's three chapters long, so it's worth it. So baring with me and sticking it out, means more to me than you could possibly imagine. Second, I want to say this is not the end. This is an intermission. A break or hiatus if you want to call it. With updates being so scarce, I’m sure you’re thinking that I should have done this earlier. And maybe I should have. I wanted to push and get to a point though where I felt okay and not like I was going to regret stepping away for a moment. So far, this story has 125 chapters. That is my second longest (behind Shift) and we currently have 252,800 words. That is nuts! That’s more than Twilight and New Moon combined! Hahaha!

) I will be sure they are closer to completion before I begin posting, that way I can have a better set schedule for you all. This book has been ongoing for about 9 months. There is still so much more story that needs to happen and I expect the chapter count to be at least double what it is now, if not more. While I do have an outline, and I know where each of the characters and story will go, I have zero idea how long it will take me to get there. However, I will GUARANTEE it will not be one of those soap opera type books that just keep going and going, like the Energizer bunny, with no end in sight. There will be a definitive end, hopefully within the next 6 months.

Not chapter one hundred and ninety two for its own sake. The ending that is true. If that means the story concludes at chapter one hundred and sixty or one hundred and seventy with real integrity, that is better than extending to one hundred and ninety two with manufactured developments. The path in this story has always known where it was going. I am going to trust that about the story itself. One step at a time.

Hello guys. So I've seen some complaints about me updating only once a day and I just want to clarify something. I write very long chapters. Some of my chapters can go up to 2800 words. And while other authors would rather divide that word count into two, I chose to publish it at once because of the cost of chapters on the app nowadays.
