How Many Chapters Should A Novel Have Novels & Stories

) I will be sure they are closer to completion before I begin posting, that way I can have a better set schedule for you all. This book has been ongoing for about 9 months. There is still so much more story that needs to happen and I expect the chapter count to be at least double what it is now, if not more. While I do have an outline, and I know where each of the characters and story will go, I have zero idea how long it will take me to get there. However, I will GUARANTEE it will not be one of those soap opera type books that just keep going and going, like the Energizer bunny, with no end in sight. There will be a definitive end, hopefully within the next 6 months.

Not chapter one hundred and ninety two for its own sake. The ending that is true. If that means the story concludes at chapter one hundred and sixty or one hundred and seventy with real integrity, that is better than extending to one hundred and ninety two with manufactured developments. The path in this story has always known where it was going. I am going to trust that about the story itself. One step at a time.

I experienced writer’s block 4 times while writing this. I thought I wouldn't make it. But after 6 months, here I am, April 28, 2021 writing a letter to myself and to everyone who read the book and also did not read it hahahaha. Well, it was a happy, sad and beautiful memory that I had with this one and there was no time that I wished I finished it quite earlier. The plan was to have it till 60 chapters and yet because of my characters moving on their own will, we arrived with 123 chapters.
