“Fine,” she replied to Cara’s question. For the first time since she started writing, she glanced down at the lower part of her screen to check her word count. 35,657 words. “Wow. I think this is it, Cara.”
“What is it?” her younger sister asked.
Her sister’s voice lacked the excitement she wanted to hear. She couldn’t explain it even if she tried. An artist could tell what art would make a difference in their lives, and she had that feeling with this one. All she had to do was get it out to the world.
