Aryana Joy Santini's POV He was the tallest of the three, at least 6’ 3” with brown hair and a short, well-trimmed beard… His upper body seemed to be suffocating in that tight, blue shirt. It was tight around the arms and across the chest. Perhaps Craig should have considered a bigger size when he bought that one, but it wasn’t like I was going to complain about the view. Nor about those dark green eyes that sometimes seemed to look right through you.

Shaila mumbled an excuse, and exited the room, leaving the door wide open for Killian. Killian sauntered in with a sweet smile on his handsome face. He looked breathtaking. He was wearing a sleek, moist-wicking orange, basketball jersey that showed off his perfect body. His loose black shorts stopped just above his thighs, showing off his powerful, nice-looking legs. He had left his hair in a rough mess, and he looked beautiful. He was about 6’2 feet and he easily towered over her small 5’5 frame. Mayeli gulped. What was Killian trying to do? Tempt her? How could he be just the way she wanted? Perfect in every form.

The creature that steps into the kitchen is absolutely none of the above, at least not in the terrifying way I had pictured it in my head. He must be at least six and a half feet tall, taller than any of the other men in the room. He does have horns, but rather than long and twisted like I had imagined, they are short and stubby and shine with a pearlescent gleam. The tail which sways slowly from side to side behind him isn’t tipped like an arrow, rather it looks smooth, soft and harmless.

"I... I came for you." Killian paused. A dark, amused smirk played on his lips. He set the glass down on the table with a sharp clink. "For me?" He stood up then. Oh, Goddess. He was massive. At least 6'4". He towered over me, filling the room with a suffocating aura of dominance. As he walked toward me, the air felt thin, like he was sucking the oxygen out of the room. He stopped just inches away. I could feel the heat radiating off him. He smelled of rain and danger.

"She's always running around everywhere. Please don't mind her, Peter. I'll make sure to lecture her when we get back. Just let her off this time." Standing up, Kendric was nearly 6.5 feet tall. Being tall wasn't just about breathing the air at a higher level. It was also about seeing more things. For example, Kendrick now saw the black suit of one of the bodyguards chasing Samantha fly up, revealing something around his waist that made his heart miss a beat.
