I clutched the blanket and stayed still, hoping the lightning would stop and let me breathe. “What do you want to read?” He asked, wrapping his arm around me and pushing me flush against his chest. I was almost lying on top of him. He must have not seen how red my face was as he scrolled through the fiction section on Kindle. “I am not in the right position to read.” “I will read it to you.” I couldn’t miss a chance like this. “Romance,” I said in my best I-am-scared-of-lightening-please-read-me-something voice. I spent the rest of the day resting. I remembered that Alexa mentioned a book she wanted to read during our text conversations, and it stuck with me. So, before my shift started, I quickly stopped at a nearby bookstore and picked up the book for her. It was a paranormal romance about werewolves. It was hilarious how people believed that shit. I also grabbed a box of chocolates. When I got to her bed, she was asleep. I gently placed the book and the chocolates beside her, careful not to wake her.

I shampoo my hair and scrub my body. After a few minutes, I walk out of the bathroom with white fluffy towel wrap around my naked body. I open the dresser and wear my undergarments then pick a white tee and my black yoga pants. I just let my wet hair fall down and then I hang the towel before left my room.
