RUTHLESS HEARTS COLLIDE

RUTHLESS HEARTS COLLIDE

she declared. Jacob snorted. “I’m putting that on a plaque.” They returned home with far more supplies than strictly necessary and an optimism that would soon prove unwarranted. --- Building the bookshelf took three full days. Three days of sawdust, crooked screws, and Damian learning, very publicly, that patience could not be brute-forced. “Why,” he said through clenched teeth on the first afternoon, “is this shelf refusing to align?” Jacob squinted at the level. “Because it’s not level.”

Her Alpha’s Chaos

Her Alpha’s Chaos

A floating shelf beneath it holds exactly one book, a remote, and what I think is a small sculpture made of obsidian. The couch is a giant L-shape in matte charcoal leather, low to the ground and way too masculine for throw pillows. Of course there are no pillows. Or blankets. Or warmth. It’s kind of couch you sit on only after being invited, and even then, you sit up straight. The coffee table is a black slab of stone, no coasters, no magazines, no half-finished cups of coffee. There’s a fireplace, but it’s more like a design element than a source of comfort. Gas, of course, with sharp glass stones instead of logs. And even the air smells clean. Like cedarwood and expensive control issues.

Cursed to be my Mate

Cursed to be my Mate

Each chandelier held within it a dancing flame, casting flickering shadows upon the shelves of books that stretched as far as the eye could see. The shelves were made of intricately carved marble, adorned with scrolls and books, and delicate filigree. Each book was a work of art, bound in fine leather and decorated with intricate, gilded designs. Amira paused in front of one of the large mahogany tables. “Put them here,” she ordered the servants, who proceeded to place the ledgers on the table whilst she looked at the library in awe.

Excellent plot! Surprisingly, the FL is the one not really likable, but that's super intriguing and keeps you hooked. ML is really funny in FL's body! No excessive violence and verbal abuse. It's one of the best books on this platform. Wish I could give it more stars!

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

From here to anywhere that wasn’t this collapsing grave‑of‑everything. In my mind’s eye, I sketched something simple: a line of stone slabs over the paper sea, supported by shelves of books strong enough to hold weight, not just guilt. The Graveyard fought me. For a heartbeat, everything snapped *harder* in the other direction—headstones leaning, shelves tilting, pages shrieking past in angry gusts. Then, in the distance, something yielded. A cluster of towering bookshelves groaned and shifted. They dragged themselves across the paper field in jerky, unnatural lurches, leaving furrows in their wake. Some toppled, slamming sideways to form crude supports. Others slotted together, their spines

The Stranger Who Stayed:When Fate Knocks Once

The Stranger Who Stayed:When Fate Knocks Once

The measuring tape and the floor plan sketch and the wrong quality of light were corrected. All of it is real. All of it was chosen. He looked at Adrian, who was looking at the warehouse with the mild, satisfied expression of someone who had accomplished a practical task and found the accomplishment genuine rather than merely dutiful. "We need to build the bookshelf," Daniel said. Adrian looked at him. "You've built flat-pack furniture before." "I have a methodology," Daniel said. "Of course you do." "The instructions are never sufficient," Daniel said. "I've developed a supplementary system."

Princess Cromwell and Her Six Brothers

That would be a total disaster for him. Then he walked over to the bookshelf on the side, reached up and took out a book. There was a button behind the book. He lifted his index finger and pressed it. The bookshelf slowly moved to the side. When it stopped, he put the book back, walked in, and then the bookshelf slowly moved back. After he walked in, the whole inside suddenly lit up. The decorations were really fancy, and there was a big pearwood box in every spot, each big enough to hold a spirit beast's body. There were ninety-one boxes like that.

Conceived under the moon

Conceived under the moon

And as they move through the forest, guided by the rhythm of the seasons and the whispers of the wind, Theo and the Earth Goddess stand as guardians of the wild, their bond a testament to the enduring power of love and the eternal beauty of the natural world. In the heart of their woodland home, nestled within the sturdy trunk of a majestic oak, stands a remarkable bookshelf carved from the very wood of the tree itself. The shelves curve gracefully along the inner walls of the chamber, following the natural contours of the wood, each one laden with volumes of ancient lore and mystical knowledge.

Welcome to Aetherborn: Crushes, Curses & Creatures

Welcome to Aetherborn: Crushes, Curses & Creatures

She staggered, but Mira caught her by the arm. “Don’t fight it,” Mira whispered. “It’s reading you. Just breathe.” And then it began. The walls groaned and stretched. The floor rippled like water, then hardened into dark wooden planks. A narrow bed assembled itself in the corner, draped with a tattered quilt in deep sapphire blue. A crooked bookshelf pushed itself out of the wall, its shelves half-filled with worn tomes whose titles blurred if she stared too long. A single round window appeared, its glass foggy, letting in a pale beam of starlight from somewhere far above.

Succumbing into Darkness

Succumbing into Darkness

Chris took one book and realized something on the space where he took the book. “What is this?” he mumbled to himself. A part of the wood seemed to be elevated. He started removing other books in the shelf that covers the certain elevated part. He observed it and touched the wood. His eyes widened when he is able to slide the wood. He took the papers inside and slid it in the book he got. He went straight to the living room and put the books he got and then went back to fetch his laptop. He chose the living room as it’s the place where there’s no cameras monitoring him.

The Wife He Never Saw: Carrying His Secret Twins In Silence

The Wife He Never Saw: Carrying His Secret Twins In Silence

He put the remaining swatches back in his pocket. By late afternoon, both cribs were standing. The changing table was assembled. The bookshelf, which had given him the most trouble because the backing panel required a specific technique that was not well explained in any of the six languages, was done and was even approximately level. He stood in the middle of the room and looked at it. I stood in the doorway and looked at him looking at it.
