Desires And Captivity

Desires And Captivity

In the next second, we finally saw what was coming. Not soldiers. Not drones. But three… humanoids. Their movements resembled a human’s, but their arms were so disproportionately long that they dragged along the ground. Their heads were skeletal, their skin paper-thin, and where their eyes should have been were only dark hollows. Sadira sucked in a sharp breath. “What the hell are those?” “Empties,” I replied, slowly backing along the ledge. “The one we saw on the hilltop… that was just one. These are remnants from several generations ago. They move because something drives them. But inside, there’s no one.”

LUSTRONOMICA: WILD CRAVINGS

LUSTRONOMICA: WILD CRAVINGS

“Most humans run by now. My name is Vorath. You may call me that.” He moved further into the living room. Each step made the floorboards creak. He wore only a pair of loose black pants that did little to hide the massive bulge between his powerful legs. More tentacles drifted around him like living shadows, some tipped with soft suckers that flexed curiously in her direction. Mia backed up until her thighs hit the couch. She was straight. She liked normal guys. But the sheer size and raw presence of this creature made something deep in her core tighten with unwanted heat.

The Transcendent Zombie System

The Transcendent Zombie System

“Hey human, I guess you’re having a death wish!” The humanoid mantis creature gritted his teeth and stared at Lucas while saying it. Lucas shook his head instead and lifted a finger with a demonic aura surrounding it. Swoosh! Following a wind-cutting sound appearing, the Rank 7 Earth Honorable Humanoid Mantis was dead. Lola was flabbergasted. She knew for sure Lucas was stronger than the humanoid mantis creature but did not expect the humanoid mantis creature to be dead in an instant when she was not even in time to have a clear vision of it.

I genuinely love this book, only problems I have with it is the fact that he never actually travels with the people he gets to join him (hattie Mia etc) I wish there were more interaction between them all. second is that there are only 2 or so chapters a day....I have plenty of coins to waste...

Daughter of the Damned

Daughter of the Damned

The figure in front of her was more frightening than the ones that were circling them previously. Picture a towering, monstrous humanoid figure with grotesque, elongated limbs covered in writhing, sinewy tendrils and tentacles, standing there in place of Xen. Its body was a nightmarish fusion of twisted flesh and dark, slimy appendages, giving it an unsettling appearance. The tendrils writhed and reached out in all directions, adding to the aura of dread and horror. His face, if one could call it that anymore, was a nightmarish visage of contorted features and malevolence.

’ Anjana’s face turned pale. ‘Don’t worry; I am saying that as he is the Shiva’s gift. He is part of Shiva. And as Shiva he will also destroy the phoney arrogance of others.’ ‘Oh! Then what’s your suggestion?’ ‘HANUMAN – Destroyer of Phoney Arrogance.’ *****

Dusk and Ice

Dusk and Ice

If I could even call them that. Gone was their human features. In place was inhuman beauty and clawed fingers. They had the black and red eyes of hungry daemons. Leo bared at his teeth, red eyes flashing from me to Kayla to Miles and Silver. A chilly wind blew against my flesh but what pricked the hair on my skin was the cold look in Moira’s eyes. Her lips stretched in a terrifying smile. Leo smiled with satisfaction as the rest of us looked shocked at the sight before us. He took a step forward. Silver growled and took a step toward him but Kayla shot out a hand to hold her back.

The Dragon's Silent Shadow

The Dragon's Silent Shadow

It sizzled against the wool of his coat. "Move!" Tristan shouted, shoving Saoirse forward. The ceiling exploded with movement. Five pale, spindly shapes dropped from the darkness. They were humanoid, but elongated. Their limbs were too long, with extra joints. Their skin was translucent, showing the black organs pulsing beneath. They had no eyes, only gaping mouths filled with needle-teeth. Crawlers. One landed directly on Jora, the scout. It didn't bite her; it wrapped its long limbs around her, crushing her ribs with a sickening crack.

Voodoo Queens of New Orleans

Voodoo Queens of New Orleans

She was probably angry that I didn't want to leave minutes before; her grip around my mouth was too tight. You know who was screaming, though? Tia Valeria. The rest of her House was screaming and crying and most likely knew that they were going to suffer a similar fate. 'Monsters' was the only word I knew to think of them as, given I had never seen or heard of anything like them. The way that man contorted his body was horror. Pure horror. And so, it was only fitting to describe these humanoid beings with bright eyes and superhuman abilities as monsters.
