Attention Hunter's Revenge is the sequel to the book 'The Mark'. It is highly recommended to read this after reading 'The Mark' for better understanding. Hunter's Revenge can be read as a stand-alone book, but I do not recommend it. I will not be providing insight to characters from 'The Mark'. So in order to properly enjoy the reading experience, I recommend not reading Hunter's Revenge without reading 'The Mark' first. I promise you won't regret reading it.

he said. He cut a square of cloth from a curtain on one of the windows. He then brought it to the pool of blood forming underneath the couple’s bodies. He soaked the cloth with the red liquid and walked towards the daughter’s room. On a clean wall, he wrote with the parents’ blood the words ‘Hunting Season’ just as he was told to. As a mercenary, he learned not to ask too much about the job. He did many things that defy logic, and he managed not to let his curiosity kick in. This is one of those times. He was just doing his job, no matter how weird it was.

All that the commonfolk knew was that it was comprised of individuals called hunters who farmed and killed dangerous creatures and sold them to wealthy merchants for processing. There were rumours that they were also in charge of protecting the world, but when Zandor had been invaded, they disappeared. This made people realize that it was this was a baseless rumour.

I sucked in a breath and nodded. He was right. The outline was nothing compared to the shading as he colored in the design… which I still had yet to see. I flinched at the pain.
