Hunter X Edric Novels & Stories

There was a sickening sound of bones cracking as she crumpled to the floor, blood streaming from her nose. "Mama!" I dropped to my knees beside her motionless form. "How touching.” The voice was sharp and dripping with sarcasm. I looked up to see its owner. Lord Edric, Regent of the town after the duke and duchess’ deaths. He was also the present Duke's uncle, the monster that fed on blood. He stepped in with a frown on his face and stared down at Mama and me in disdain. Our eyes met, and his narrowed as he searched my face.

Alaric had not yet realized Tala's condition and was still focused on facing his opponents. "Edrick, where are the others? Hurry up and chase down the fleeing hunters!" Alaric commanded. Edrick was torn between helping Tala or informing Alaric of the urgency first. In the end, Edrick took a position parallel to Alaric and began to lunge at a Hunter until his weapon was knocked away. Afterward, Edric tore into the human's stomach with his claws. "There were some hunters targeting our pack and I cleaned up the mess there first before running here. I don't know what they're up to, sir." Edrick shouted in the middle of his attack on the hunters.

Eren cries out enthusiastically, clapping his hands. I frown at my son as he comes to stand beside me and takes my hand. Why does his taste also has to be so similar with his father? After rolling up his sleeves, Erden walks to my car. He bites on his lips as he opens the hood of the vehicle. I then notice the huge letter ‘H’ which is on his left inner forearm. It has been self-inflicted for sure. I hate self-harming but it looks kinda hot on him. It must be because it’s the first letter of my name.

He opened the car door with a dramatic motion, then leaned closer than he should, saying in a low voice almost like teasing, “You know… blue suits you. But on Christmas night, white suited you even more.” My steps froze. My eyes widened, and my heartbeat quickened. I understood exactly what he meant. I tried to stay calm, forcing a cold smile to deny his hint, but warmth still rushed to my cheeks against my will. Edric removed his sunglasses slowly, revealing his bold hazel eyes full of confidence and mischief. “Don’t worry… being under Glacier’s body won’t stop me from chasing you.” I swallowed hard and lifted my chin in defiance despite my nervousness. “I don’t understand what you mean…”

“You’ve done it. You have finally done it!” I shifted on to find the eyesore there. Locking onto the man I had dragged here, who was now propped against a rusted column. He was observed at the embrace, the sight, at the blood, at the look in Kristine’s eyes. He laughed. Motherfucker was laughing like it was the funniest thing he had ever seen. "Oh, what a beautiful sight," Edric wheezed, wiping blood from his chin. "The top 4th assassin of the underworld, The Hunter, has finally decided to drop the mask of innocence?”

"But not a word to his mother. The news might just kill her. Give the command to his siblings.” Viktor nodded, his relief noticeable in the sagging of his shoulders. He hurried out and I turned to Eric whose chest still rose and fell. It was clear his recovery wouldn't be an easy one. It’d be a miracle even. He’s a good man. Young and vibrant, the kind I wouldn't want to lose. No sooner had the door closed than Hunter's voice echoed through the pack bond. "I'm at the packhouse," he informed me. "On my way," I replied, already striding towards the exit.

“How long before you are pushed over the edge, Damien? A week? A couple of months. Either way, I’m happy to end your miserable life.” “You told him?” Damien demands as he glares at Mallory. “No, I swear.” Mallory mutters. “It’s like I said, he just knows things.” ‘A mental case by the sounds of it.’ Aero rumbles Abraxas stares at me but points to Eric, “Why don’t you tell him, Blondie!” “My name is Eric!” He snaps back. Eric moves forward, frowning, “The guy claims he can tell the difference between Lycans and Rogues. Calls himself a Hunter.”

I had heard a lot from those werewolves than I knew about myself. Who was Giles Hunter, and what had he done to make the werewolves hate him so much? John Hunter was my supposed father, and he was a vampire. Did he kill my mother? Was that why I was dumped at the orphanage? Who was my mother? Was she alive? Had she been turned into a vampire too? I found out that Werewolves and vampires existed in one night. If truly the people those werewolves mentioned were my relatives, then I better hang around Oscar for safety, but for how long will he protect me from his kind?

Xander was getting his car inside, and he wanted to see Mom so we went inside the house together. As the two of us entered, we saw Mim facing a man in the living room. The man stood up quickly when Xander and I stabbed him. My eyes widened when I saw the man, Viktor! "Erica!" Viktor shouted at me. I could not move. My whole body stiffened, as if I had seen a ghost, and as if I had been drenched in cold water on my stand. My heartbeat quickened as if it were racing. Viktor quickly hugged me tightly and there my trance returned.

Morric stood still at the side while Edric paced like a caged beast with harsh breaths, and his eyes burning. “I bowed" Edric snarled "Me," "To a human,” He spat. "A huntress. A human huntress." The sound of the door opening cut him off. "Father," the word barely left Tobias's mouth before something flew his way. A vase met his forehead with a sick crack. Blood dropped instantly, running down the side of his face to the floor. "Don't call me that," Edric snapped. "Not after today." Tobias swallowed. "I can explain—"
