“What’s that?” I blink and then look down into my hands where a little blue butterfly sits, slowly moving her wings up and down, completely calm and incredibly pretty. “Holy shit,” Blythe whispers, stepping close to peer at it. “Where did you get that?” “Want to be a butterfly next?” I ask, a bit wicked, grinning up at him. He just flinches back, looking at me with horror.

I raised my hand and distanced myself away from their judging eyes. Eight and Four also moved to a corner, exchanging murmurs. In my spot, I could see Eight handing Four my knife. Then Four gave me a measuring look before taking his eyes back on the knife in his hands. I knew he was balancing between facts and his gut feels. But I also knew my alibi was rock solid. The butterfly knife that I had will never let me down. It has the word ‘hunter’ intricately drawn on its blade. And besides, he couldn’t kill me now that we already have a sacrificial lamb. The favor was still on me.

He was waiting for the opening of the big war. Twelve men stood behind him, and they were Twelve Golden Zodiacs. Finally, while they had waited for a long time, the sky on the east brightened, and the dawn was coming. The cocoon in the mansion on 556 West Destiny Street also hatched while the sky became bright. A newborn butterfly came out of its cocoon. After the butterfly tried to flap its wings, it flew up. It flew through the main door and flew all the way to the east. “Follow the butterfly!”

He stood up and pounced on her again, this time, knocking her down. Nadine cried out, and her transformation began. She tried to stop it, but she couldn't. It seemed like the lycanthrope in her had sensed danger and was willing to eliminate it. Trent held on to her and tried to bite her, but Nadine's transformation completed and she backhanded him with such force, that Trent flew up, howling. He landed on the ground with a huge thud and Nadine caught him, throwing him at a tree. Trent hit the tree, and its top half broke off, falling on him. All that was left of the tree was an uneven and jagged stump.

The butterflies in her belly were doing summersaults. It has been a few days since they went to her favorite spot at the pond. Since then Hunter has been teasing her nonstop and she had to control herself because whenever he was close, her mind would short-circuit making her do childish things. She never knew she had such a hidden personality as well. They would flirt, she would tease him at times and would escape at other times. Hunter on the other hand was so sweet to her.
