The Slave Queen's Awakening
The scent of blood magic and rot hit me and underneath it all was a familiar stench that made my wolf snarl with rage.
"Hunter." I said, the name tasting like poison.
"That fucking coward," Sylvia hissed. "He came back?"
We found him in the main chamber of my tower, surrounded by shattered glass from the window he had broken through.
Dark symbols glowed on his skin, pulsing with sickly green light. In his hands he held what looked like bones carved with runes, and the air around him shimmered with magic that made my wolf recoil.
"Hello, bitch," Hunter said, grinning at Sylvia with blood-stained teeth. "Miss me?"
