I noticed their pupils retrench as they stared at him, meaning they were conversing with each other through mindlink. It was brief, lasting a couple of seconds before Hunter turns left and straight down the now-empty halls.

I roll, kick, and slash, fighting off the werewolves that come at me anew from every side. I roll to my feet and twist to the right, slashing another werewolf across the face.
