asks Ash . “I am, but I am not allowed to eat.” says Hector. “How come?” asks Ruby . “I don’t want to talk about it right now,” says Hector . Rex walks in. “Morning everyone. I'm sure you all slept well. I hope you didn’t eat too much, for our next test is hunting,” says Rex. Hector’s eyes widen, and he looks worried. “It is not humans, if that is why you look like that, Hector. It is a rabbit, but you will hunt with only your hands. No weapons. You and your fangs are the weapon.”

Her eyes scan the ground to where the baseball bat lies between the two of them. "Oh, I don't need a weapon. Rather, I enjoy getting my hands dirty." Hunter declares, flexing his arm as he cracks his knuckles, making the tattoo of the scythe or a Grimm Reaper's blade twist on his arm in a menacing manner. The woman takes one look at the tattoo before gulping. Hunter takes a challenging step towards her, forcing her to take a step backward. The woman stumbles once more, petrified, as tears begin to slip from her eyes.

“We will test your skills first by fighting.” They exited the room and went back at the center of the evaluation room. Mr. Ambrose explained the rules of the upcoming fight. “The skill evaluation will be repeated two times. The first one is to know what is level of your skills and the second is to know if you can manage to balance your skills. There are five common skills a hunter has namely: stamina, strength, agility, perception, and intelligence. I won’t tell you what you will be fighting. I believe that will spoil the evaluation.”

I did not rush to shut down the "Goddess Hunter" server. Instead, through a backdoor I had left behind when I analyzed the code earlier, I quietly prepared a brand new module I had already written. Three armed mercenaries stood at the base of the lowered hydraulic ramp, rifles slung across their tactical vests. A flatbed truck was parked beside the ramp, its engine still running. Four men were unloading a steel shipping crate from the back, using a hand winch to slowly drag it toward the edge of the flatbed. I backed into the shadow of a container and pulled a thermal scanner from my belt. After switching it on, I raised the viewfinder to my eye and focused the lens on the side of the steel crate. The screen flickered before a bright red heat signature appeared inside.

I could feel their intense gazes as they scrutinized my every move, waiting for me to make a mistake. One of the hunters stepped forward, his rugged face lined with scars and experience. He introduced himself as Derek, and I could sense the power emanating from him. Derek began to ask me questions, testing my knowledge of werewolf behavior and hunting techniques. I answered to the best of my ability, drawing on the knowledge Anthony had imparted to me. But the hunters were not satisfied. They challenged me to demonstrate my skills, pitting me against a lifelike werewolf dummy that moved with startling agility.

A loud thunderclap awakened me in the middle of the night. I tried to open my eyes even though my eyelids were heavy, and my body ached as if it was about to separate the joints. After struggling for a while, I finally became a little more awake. Since I joined the werewolf hunter organization, this is the first time I've fallen into this predicament. As a hunter, my eyes also have a few advantages over an average human. Like now, even though I'm just in a closed, dark space, it's still enough for me to see everything thanks to the faint light emitted from the round lamp hanging above my head.

The man led me through a maze of corridors and staircases until we reached a large room filled with hunters. Mrs. Blake was sitting at a table, going through some paperwork.
