Hyacinth Tattoo Meaning Novels & Stories

He felt me tighten around him and knew I was close. "Baby, I want your eyes." I opened them for him and stared deep into his soul. His pace increased. His body constricted, and I toppled over the brink of ecstasy with Gray. Completely spent, I rolled over and stroked the tattoo that always caught my attention. "What does this stand for?" He winked at me and said, "It's Japanese for stallion."

I thought to lie but his tone wasn’t judgy so I answered honestly. “My ex-husband.” “And this is your first tattoo?” Thankfully, no further questions about the ex-husband. “Yes, first and only.” “You know you could just just remove it instead of drawing over it if you’re not a fan of tattoos.” I had thought of that but no, I wanted a coverup tattoo. It was going to be a bunch of zinnias, a flower that is known to thrive even in the harshest conditions. Drawing it over Harry’s name would be symbolic to say that regardless of my current challenges, I blossomed.

“The one I cut on the back?” I blinked at her. “You mean the little asswipe with the shitty tattoo who wanted to fuck up my pretty face with his brass knuckles? Yeah, I’m fairly positive I don’t care if he’s okay. But from the way he lit out of there like his tail was on fire, I’d say he’s just fine.” “It wasn’t a shitty tattoo,” she mumbled. “It was the eye of Horus. Some thought it was a symbol to ward off evil, but it’s actually supposed to symbolize healing.”

I didn’t expect him to be well versed in floriography, the languages of flowers, because even I’m not an expert at it or anything like that. “Do you know what white tulips symbolize?” I asked as I stared up at his face. “No…” Hayden replied honestly as he gazed down into my eyes. His eyes were the color of a cloudless blue sky on a sunny day… “It symbolizes forgiveness,” I said before smiling a little at him. “Have you decided to forgive me? Why all of a sudden?” Hayden said ash is eyes lit up with hope. Maybe he’s been feeling guilty for keeping me locked up in here all this time.

She was shy away and hid her in my chest. I placed her in a hot shower, pressing her back to me and kissed her neck. I was stunned when I opened my eyes. There was an old Italian tribal tattoo on her neck. What is it doing here? It was an arrow design with a crown holding double letter A. It was a symbol of the deity of death.

A flower shop owner who's never been on television like me had a fan? "Wow, Heather! Seriously, someone sent all these flowers for you?" asked Faye incredulously. "That's what they say," I muttered. I started looking for a card among the dozens of purple hyacinths and white tulips. They wouldn't tell me the name of the person who sent these flowers, so I had to find out for myself. Damn. There were no greeting cards anywhere. "Purple hyacinths symbolize regret and sorrow, while white tulips express respect, forgiveness, and purity." Faye rubbed her chin. "Is it possible that this person wants to express his apology to you?"

The scent and image of these flowers haunted me as I reminisced the significance and symbolization these flowers mean to me. They were hyacinth flowers. The hyacinth flowers symbolize sorrow and regret. For a funeral setting, this expression is certainly appropriate. Of course I knew this more than anyone because I always found myself coughing up these flowers the weeks when I missed Gavin. These flowers came out of my mouth non-stop as my tears and sorrow flowed out of my body.

she commented. He looked up at her. “What?” “The tattoo,” she smiled. “Do you still remember what it stands for?” he asked. “I’m your nymph, which you got from the Greek Mythology nymph Calypso. You got it in that colour because it’s the colour of my eyes, which are your favourite thing about me. You made them loop the y to make a heart because I’m the only one who holds your heart. The paw signifies the pact we made that we would never let any wolf truly rule over us...” she trailed off.

It wasn’t even a common name. In my fucked up mind, I had almost believed Angelica was a ghost sent to torment me with that tattoo on her belly. After seeing her file, I understood why she would have a hyacinth tattooed on her. Only this time, the tattoo was the last thing I could see.

I was so speechless, I just jumped on him and he winced, the tattoo was still hurting a bit. My fingers traced another ink one on his shoulder, he got this one after his dad died, in memory of him. "Do you always do this when I'm asleep" Bryne's husky voice jolts me back and I quickly remove my hand from his chest. He frowns and sits up, resting his back on the headboard. He yawns and stretches. I gulp, watching his thick muscle extends and flexes. "Come here" I nod and crawl to his arms obediently. He draws circles on my back and hums an inaudible tune.
