Just then a roaring sound reverberated through the room and a second later two walls of steel started rising up the ground on either side of her. Her mouth dried in absolute horror. The walls were decked with long, sharp spikes that jutted out menacingly, all pointing at her. She realized the meaning behind his threat.

By the time we got to the third floor, I was gasping. “Room 718!” Thistle announced triumphantly, pointing a very small finger up the hall. I stopped in front of a black wooden door with a blank silver plaque on it.
