She fumbled with her keys, her hands trembling slightly, and quickly let herself in, locking the door behind her. Inside, the apartment was quiet and warm, the soft glow of the lamp in the corner casting a gentle light over the room. Jessica took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. She walked over to where her daughter, Nori, was playing quietly with her toys. Seeing Nori's bright eyes and cheerful smile brought a wave of comfort over Jessica. This was her world now, and nothing else mattered.
