I Can Peek Inside Every Place And Even Record It Novels & Stories

"What… You weren't wearing that all night…" "I was," I said. "I've taken up wearing it since this all started. It’s easier to sneak around with than my daggers and linked to a private server in Darkmoon. When activated, it records everything around me." I accessed the latest recording and played it from the beginning, starting with the moment I saw Lucas in the garden. "Who's there?" My voice came through. "Show yourself." I pushed stop and smiled up at Theodore. "It'll be damn hard for him to argue it was a misunderstanding when this is played." I turned the dial, setting it to save to my recording device as well as back up to the server. I didn't want to chance it getting lost.

The sound of someone snapping their fingers caused me to jump and when I glanced at Trenton, he was putting his arm down. “Sorry. I should also tell you that there is no privacy here, including your thoughts. There are some things I can do in the past, like capture moments and have them sent to my phone. So, when we get back, I will have pictures of your past that I can give you. I won’t take a picture of everything, because there are thousands of years to cover, but I have no problem taking a few here and there so you have something you can hold onto.”

Chloe gave a satisfied hum, rolled over, and went back to scrolling on her phone. The dorm room fell quiet. I lay on the top bunk, staring at the ceiling while my mind raced. In my last life, I knew nothing, so I did nothing. This life, I knew everything. So I had three things to do. First, let them destroy themselves. Second, leave evidence. Third, keep myself clean. I dug out my old phone and opened a shopping app. I ordered a pinhole camera, small enough to clip to a collar. Then I ordered a micro voice recorder that could run for eight hours.

I also put the key and the pocket knife inside, securing them. The thing was a small recorder that could record sounds and store them in a file. The battery can even last up to twenty-four hours. Thanks to that office, I managed to steal their equipment. Just in case, I recorded them doing those heinous crimes for future purposes. I always think that having proof when a day comes that I'm being interrogated by the authorities will always come in clutch. As I already know, Regio is terrible news. They're unlawful, and who knows who will stand up for my reputation? I have no one right now, not even my stepmother and Azazel. It's about time that I need to be on my own.

Not something I'm proud of but sneaking gin, vodka, brandy and every other sort of alcohol my parents keep in their wine cellar as a teen was one of my strong suits. Now I hold the phone up my face, changing to video. I click the center 'o' and it records. The hall and everyone inside are in sight through the camera. #Heaven. I laugh, taking a step back when my body gently brushes against somebody. On a normal day, I would flinch or freak out but this person didn't let me.

“Do you like it?” A thin smile spread on his face. “I like that you’re useful. Which is why you’ll do something for me.” My brows furrowed. I gave a nervous laugh. “What?” He stepped closer, lowering his voice. “I need you to plant this in Isaiah’s study.” He slipped a sleek black recorder into my palm and my jaw dropped. "E-excuse me?"

Irvin nodded, thinking as if he would ever forget something like that. "I have a power of having... Uh... visions. I was so lost in the... The vision that I... I forgot what I was doing and just kept going so I could see the whole vision." Zadkiel wanted to get this one off his chest because this was the first time he took advantage of Irvin like that. "Oh." It was all that Irvin could say.

"Give me a call if anyone tries to harass you. I think you should be on your way now so you don't get there late." I quickly grabbed my purse, my keys and was heading out the door when he called me back, "A minute. You are forgetting something." I looked around, wondering what that could be and then I noticed he held something small, round and black between two fingers. "What's that?" "This-" He made the object rest in his palm. "-is a very hi-tech, very sensitive microphone. With it, and with your help, I will be able to hear everything happening at the gala. If... say, you engage someone in a conversation, the person won't know they are being listened to. They wouldn't know they are being

“I chose it especially for you. Now I will always know you are safe. No matter where you go or who you talk to.” Inside my head, I laughed. She had no idea how deep the tracking went. It was not just location. The device recorded nearby conversations too. Every whispered word to Lisa. Every secret meeting in the garden. Every soft promise Marcus made to her. I knew it all. I had been listening for weeks.

No one knows the full extent of what these glasses can do, and that’s how I like it. To most people, they are just an accessory, but they do so much more than that. I created them to be able to access data I needed quickly, to scan pack members for weapons and lie it tracks heat reading. Occasionally, I use them to see Aurora naked. She could be wearing a hoodie, joggers and a dressing gown, but to me, she is stark naked. Not that I would ever tell her that, of course. She would accuse me of perving on her constantly.
