“If you hate it so much, why read it?“ “Who said I hate it? I enjoy reading books where the main character is different from my personality. I think it’s no fun when I’m too similar to a character, it would be like I’m reading a story about myself, when I’m reading to escape the reality of my life.” Oh, he thinks deeply. Not expecting that from him, to be honest. I mean, it’s not that he looks dumb, but he just doesn’t look like the “smart, bookworm” type either.

Amazing, what is a better way to distract yourself than reading some dark romance books filled with smut. I got in the library and instantly felt a bit calm. Grabbing my favourite four books I got seated in a cosy comfortable corner, and started reading. An hour later I closed the fourth book in my hands as I groaned frustratingly. For god sake what's wrong with me? I couldn't even read a single book completely. I tried to read them for fifteen minutes and then put them aside while picking up another book. All of these books are my fucking comfort favourite books that I have re-read for so many times. The books whose MMC are my, to heart, book boyfriends.

So here I was. After about a minute, I gave in. “This is boring.” She shot me a look that clearly said, Don’t push me, and whispered sharply, “We’re in a library, Kade. Please stop talking before we get kicked out.” Then she pushed a book toward me and flipped it open. “Here. Read biology.” I rolled my eyes because I wasn’t interested in doing that. And let’s be honest, reading was never my thing. I hated it and that’s why I did sports. I tried to read a couple of lines in the book she gave me but I began to get dizzy after two minutes.

So, the best thing for me to do is to avoid her. People still say stupid things about her. I am already very tired of hearing all the side derogatory comments about her. it is very sickening. People should just learn to stop all this petty bullying. It is not cool at all. I entered the library and I picked a seat at the far end of the library. I picked a literature textbook. Literature has been giving me issues for a while now. I want to really focus on it today. I sat down and started skimming through the textbook. I honestly do not understand what I am reading but I just continued.

It was just an ordinary day for me—books, books, and more books. For the past four years, books have been my constant companions. But who was I to complain? I loved books. They were like a drug I couldn’t resist. I loved the smell of them; it was addicting.

I rephrased. "Oh, that's cool, because I would have said school books? Do people still even read those things now?" He asked with a chuckle. I'll die if I have to read school books daily the same way I read novels. Just kill me, please, instead of forcing me to read those daily. Not like anyone alive would be able to force me to. I thought with slightly narrowed eyes. Not even my mum can. "Sadly, I'm part of those that still read school books. After all I wouldn't want to fail my courses." I explained to him.

It’s an addiction. I never read Romeo and Juliet because it has a sad ending, I hate sad endings. I love a story such as The Last Song, She’s the Man, Bridal Waves and the list goes one. Twisted story but with happy endings in the end.

A quick glance at the clock read 10.55am. I was five minutes early to meet Maggie - not that it meant anything since she was always late anyway. I sat at my usual table at the back and dumped my bag on the table, knocking an earphone out in the process. With a sigh, I placed it back in and pulled out my English work I had been procrastinating. If there was one thing I hate, it was Shakespeare. I just didn't understand him - there was too much tragedy in his work. I was definitely more of a Disney's happily ever after

God, I was horny. My gaze continued to roam the cover as I thought about grabbing it. I did usually read during a soak. And the water had quickly turned cold before I could finish the chapter I was reading yesterday. But- “Reading sounds painful.” I grumbled to myself. After re-reading the same instructions for hours today, I would rather not continue to read. Whether it was for my enjoyment or personal gain, I felt as if I couldn’t read another word. I was too mentally exhausted to even try.
