For some reason, the riverbank looked so familiar, it was much like a place I have been in the past, but I couldn’t make out were exactly. As I walked alongside the riverbank, getting nearer and nearer to its end, I found myself come face to face with a waterfall making everything look even more familiar as I recall to the meadow that I always run into to play during the time that I was at my pack. And such mysterious place was much like where I am at now. Not knowing whether such familiarity is true, I approached the waterfall, but just before I could touch the waterfall tip, I heard a voice calling out my name.

Sharp. Vivid. Unavoidable. Déjà vu. My breath caught. Because I had seen this before. Not like this. Not exactly. But close enough. The warmth. The welcome. The feeling of stepping into a place that was supposed to be home. Only this time… I wasn’t the one being welcomed. My chest tightened. Because the last time I felt something like this.. It wasn’t me standing here. It was her. My mother.

“If you want to.” “I am. I’m sick of this place.” So we left the hospital, and now I was standing in front of the mansion, staring up at it like I couldn't believe that I was back, because I couldn't. When I left, I told myself it was for good, that nothing would make me return to this place that has made me feel all kinds of things, both the bad and the good, and now, here I am.

The last time I was here, I went to the sacred mountain and not the pack. Memories hit harder than I expect. The laughter, the training sessions, wars, blood, victory, loss, and her. Laura. For a split second, I swear I can hear her voice carried in the wind…..soft, warm, grounding. I blink, and it’s gone. My chest tightens. Too much has been taken from this place. Too much has been buried here. Gabriel glances at me. “You’ve been here before,” he says. It’s not a question.

TESSA The ride into Ylarc was quiet, but not an uncomfortable one. I leaned against the window, watching the scenery shift from the familiar routes of Fenra into something softer and quieter. The streets here were narrower, the people a little more ordinary. I had been here before—years ago, when my parents were still alive. They brought me to the markets sometimes, or to the festivals where lanterns lit up the river. I remembered laughing, holding my father’s hand, my mother’s voice humming in my ears. But after they were gone, I never returned.

I have seen them before. I just couldn’t remember where. So, I slowed my steps, my voice barely a whisper. “Declan… why do I feel like I’ve been here before?” He glanced at me, something flickering in his eyes before he masked it with a smile. “Maybe because it’s where you belong.” And for the first time, I wasn’t sure if that was comforting… or a warning.

"You're reversing me." I stopped walking and so did she. I looked at her with brows crossed and confused eyes. I heard her voice before, did I? The way she talks, it was familiar, like I heard it before from somewhere. I shook my head. Why did almost everyone here feel familiar to me? I might go crazy here. "Have we talked before?" I asked. Her brows crossed in confusion. "Only awhile ago." I meant from the past. I heard her voice, I just couldn't figure out where and how.

I said proudly "Well don't forget I once live there too so I kinda know this place" He said "Well that was the old Hawthorne you knew it's all changed now so I'm the updated map" I said smiling "You're gonna be shocked at some places I know that you aren't aware of" He said "Is that a challenge?" I asked "You can take it as one" He said "Ok then" I replied "You know what how about I take you somewhere and I'm pretty sure you haven't been there before" He said

he said, and I smiled. I looked at the old woman and she was looking at me and Logan carefully. “May I ask you, young lady, why did you insist on staying here tonight?” the old lady asked me. I looked around the home and the pack and then smiled. “It just feels like I have been here before, maybe not physically but it feels like I have seen this place somewhere before,” I said and then chuckled a bit. “That doesn’t make any sense right?” I asked her and she smiled.

Deja vu. It looked exactly like I remembered it. White stone walls, the massive porch with those same dark pillars, and that big Monsoon crest above the door. The last time I was here, things hadn’t exactly gone too well. There jad been shouting, a few slammed doors, and Tobias almost threw me out himself. Now, here I was again. The cars pulled up the long driveway and came to a stop. Dust floated up into the air as engines died down. I pushed open my door and stepped out. While my eyes moved toward the pack house entrance, and there he was waiting.
