Kira's POV "Let's run away," I said Immediately, my voice trembling but resolute. Jamison froze, his eyes wide with disbelief. “W–what? What did you just say?” he stammered. “I said let’s run away, Jamison,” I repeated, this time firmer, more certain. I reached for his hands, hoping he would see how desperate I was, how we really needed to do this but surprisingsly he stepped back away from me, shaking his head negatively.

Running away from being captured. Running toward my freedom to start a new life. My instincts were screaming at me to flee, to vanish into the darkness where I will never be seen again, but I knew better. Running wasn’t an option anymore for me. If I turned my back, I could see that Sebastian would drag me into the abyss I had fought so desperately to escape from.

The rubbing of my nose still didn't stop the feeling and I had to move to rubbing my eyes making them all red. How would it feel to run away? From the claws of the world, from the world itself, from the people in it. Who did I offend for all this to happen to me? Who cursed my life to be this way? Nothing ever goes as planned. I turned around to jog in the rain then it turned into a full blown sprint. I was running away from everything, everyone. Maybe if I'm fast enough, I'll go back into the past again and rectify all my mistakes. This time, I'll make sure to avoid all men in general. I'll run fast enough so as not to be seen by the world.
