Because if I did, I wasn’t sure I’d still be able to face what I’d see. I didn’t stop to think. The moment I reached the door, I ran. The cold air outside hit me like a wave of clarity, but it wasn’t enough to wash away the disgust clawing through me. My body moved on instinct, faster and faster, until the ground itself seemed to blur beneath my feet. My bones ached, and before I even realized it, the shift tore through me.

I say wrapping my arms around his neck "But I can afford it and I know you can afford it too," he says trying to justify the expensive gift "I know but it's just not me you know that" I whisper pecking his lips and he sighs "Okay but at least take it for a spin before I take it back to the dealership," he says and I nod eagerly "That I can do," I say snatching the car keys from him and running to the driver's side.
