I stood up, my hands free, and landed right back on the floor almost immediately. Fuck, I had forgotten all about my tied feet.

My throat felt like sandpaper. I poured some into the cup and gulped down the water. A little dribble down my lips and cleaned it with the back of my hand, feeling much better. I placed one leg on the ground gingerly, trying to test the waters. When I deemed it safe, I placed another foot on the ground and stood up. Woah! Woah! Woah! I held the table to steady myself; the ground was rumbling and I was wobbly.

"Put your feet on the ground." I immediately do as he says, straightening my legs and feeling my fingers touch the bottom. Large round stones covered with a thin layer of smooth mud. It's kind of gross, but it's also weirdly nice between your toes. Pressing a little harder with my legs, I think I can stay here if I lift my chin. When jumping, I manage to get my entire neck and shoulders above the water.

He was in front of me again and I fell to the ground, hitting my tailbone on the concrete floor. "You don't have to run. I am not here for you."

POV: KAEL I see it and my stomach drops. I freeze with my hand still in the dirt. The earth is wrong. Not dug out. Not torn up like animals fighting. Pressed down. Stepped on. Over and over. A slow circle around the camp. Careful. Clean. Fresh. I straighten slowly. Way too slowly. My heart starts to pound. “No,” I whisper. The ground does not whisper back. It just sits there. Quiet. Watching me.

the last thing I'm gon' do is to kill myself. My legs continuously hitting the ground and the sound of my tears echoing along with the thunder makes the night even more scary. My leg hits a stone and I fall face down on the ground, i lay there crying, i couldn't move. My feets are sore and if i move a step again then I'm going to fall down for the second time tonight on the street. "Why are you crying? why are you out here in the dark, on the ground while the rain is this heavy?" A voice asked, I turned my neck around to know whom it is but I couldn't move my neck.

Where the hell am I? I tried to focus on my senses like I was taught to do. But it didn't give me much hope for the situation. There was nothing to smell. But at least I can feel myself and assure myself that I'm still whole. And the solid ground I'm standing on proves that I'm standing upright. I tried listening. But still, the dark limbo gave me not a single clue. I take a step forward, reaching out my arms into the dark void surrounding me. The foundation clanks from my shoes, showing that it was metal. Holy hell.

"As a Bomb" "A bomb is not safe until it has exploded". I take one more step and the foot remains standing a bit higher up in the air. It feels like I am standing on a bed. My foot is planted firmly, but what I am standing on is still elastic. "Like that, one more step, then you're there”. He whispers behind me. I take a step and feel the same cool stream of air that I had previously felt flowing from my hands, hissing through me and out under my feet. It is unbelievable, but I am actually standing free in the air half a meter above the earth !

He has a great body with his muscles stretching under his shirt. I jus can't look away from him, he is walking towards me, his walking radiates power, an immense and beautifully immersive power. Im standing in my place from where I stopped before, that I'm unable to move, unable to take a step to another direction just like I'm glued to this position that my legs are glued to this ground.

Stephanie’s POV: The ground beneath me was cold, but not unbearable. It pressed through the thin fabric of my leggings as I sat cross-legged, spine straight, hands resting loosely on my knees. I focused on that feeling at first, the steady, grounding chill of the earth, trying to anchor myself to something real, something still.
