I just looked at where I was standing. What is this? The ground on which I stand is beginning to crumble! I anxiously looked up at the height of the wall where the other warriors were. My left foot slips on something jagged, and I collapse back with a sharp cry as my ankle smashes against the solid floor. "Ah!" I groan, teeth clenched. Gingerly, I reach out, brushing my fingers across the cold, rough surface I hit. It's a large and oddly shaped stone. A rock? My fingertips trail along the cracks in the ground, and suddenly it dawns on me...

But I could not stop thinking about what was on the ground or was it just my imagination? In the end, I made a choice of checking the ground and put an end to my overthinking habit. I started walking carefully, making sure not to slip on the grass. It was mostly empty, a few students were standing on the other end of the ground. I moved towards the bush near the tree. There was nothing, no sign of any animal, not even a mouse.

My feet left the ground. And then I was falling — landing directly on top of him. Oh no.

I make sure to plant my feet firmly on the ground with each step. As I reach the middle of the grid, I feel my ankle wobble and quickly steady myself by placing my other foot next to the wobbling ankle. This forces me to come to a complete stand still in the middle of the grid. I take a deep breath and prepare myself to continue walking, making sure that I have my balance now.

August's POV We were welcomed with a high salute from the guards. Until now I still can't move on with this place. It just feels too unreal. But no matter how many times I say no way in my mind, this place freaking exists and I am even standing on it right now. We are no longer in the cloud part but we are on the ground. My life is no longer in danger.

“lets do this!” I tsked, standing up. “you are on.”

I lay sideways in the dirt, needing to stay grounded, feeling the world fleeting around me. “Rest, mate. I’ll handle things from here.”
