My body jolted and I looked up to see his face. He had a twinkle in his eyes, at least that's how he was looking at me. As I stared at him it felt so familiar like I knew him. How can that be possible? We met at the club but he felt so familiar and known that it was impossible to ignore the pull towards him. Maybe there was just something about him.

Albright. I got the response immediately and went outside with my sling bag finding a familiar car. "Good Morning," I greeted him as I sat inside. He was in his mid-forties and kind of looked like my dad. He gave a warm smile greeting me back. "I actually didn't catch your name Mr....," I blurted and stopped before embarrassing myself further. What must he think of me? I don't even know his name. "It's Adam Carter, Miss. Albright." His focus was on the road.

"I don't even know your name." He smiled softly, his eyes never leaving mine. "You're right, we just met," he admitted, his voice calm and reassuring. "But sometimes, a connection can be felt instantly. And my name is Andrew." His words lingered in the air, leaving me with a sense of curiosity and intrigue.

We had a brief encounter at the mall the other day." Oh, now I remembered. We bumped into each other. Honestly, I didn't know how he could've recalled our encounter. It was so short and few words were said. His memory was on point.

I am unable to answer them at first, surprised by the question. They simply smile kindly, and I even see a little twinkle of mischief in their eyes. “Oh, well, I actually met him on my way to work one morning and then he came into the café with a friend. We began talking and he gave me his number. After that things have just progressed as they would normally, I guess.” I shrug as though it is not a big deal, but they are both smiling widely and it’s a little unnerving.

I was speechless when I heard that, I really did not know what to say, I was just there, listening carefully and not believing it, I did not know that I could provoke that reaction in a person, and less in a person like Matt, who had everything in life and he lacked nothing.
