A Christmas Miracle

A Christmas Miracle

I looked once more at my princess lying on the cold bed, I felt every inch of my body shudder with rage and fury. Exit the hospital towards the parking lot. I got into my car and left on a painful and sad path of homesickness. As I drove, I felt my muscles rotting as if a virus had taken over everything. I parked near the shore and started walking. It was already dark and the lights from the buildings adorned the city, like decorations on a Christmas tree. My Christmas miracle. What did my father mean by that?

Not perfect lover

Not perfect lover

I whispered. Another pause, then she sighed again, softer this time. "I miss you, Ava. You always loved Christmas. It wasn't the same without you." That did it. The guilt I had been holding back washed over me in full force, leaving me hollow. I had forgotten Christmas. I had forgotten my mother, who had always made sure I felt loved, even when things got rough. "I miss you too, Mom," I murmured, my throat tight. There was a beat of silence, then her voice warmed again. "Then come home soon, okay?"

Silent Whispers of Love

Silent Whispers of Love

She found solace in these shared memories and stories, even as her heart ached for Mike. On Christmas Eve, Jane found herself alone in her apartment, miles away from home. The usually bustling city was quiet, everyone celebrating with their loved ones. She felt a pang of homesickness, a longing for the familiar warmth of home. As she sat by her window, watching the snowfall, her phone rang. It was Mike. His voice was warm, a reminder of home. They spoke for hours, reminiscing about their past Christmases, shared memories, and laughter filling the distance between them.

It should have been just once

It should have been just once

Despite my aversion to crowded places, I decided to come, maybe because my life is so boring lately that I need some form of spice. “I’ll be right back doll, I think Jacob has been drinking for far too long. If you need me, call me.” She says patting my shoulder softly and going in search of her boyfriend. I sigh and let the party sink under my skin. It’s barely eighteen days to Christmas and it already feels like it. Everyone is partying to hard because they know if a few days they’ll be helping out at home with tree, gifts and socks preparation. I’m just as excited, my foster parents have always made Christmas memorable and somehow because of school I missed last year, this year? No fuckin

The Wild Billionaire's Destiny

The Wild Billionaire's Destiny

JAMES The Christmas holidays felt never-ending, dragging on with a sense of timelessness. Instead of having a relaxing time with only the two of us, our home had become a bustling hive of activity. The sound of laughter and chatter filled the air as Lorraine, Cassidy, and Jenny barged into the house, their arms laden with packages filled to the brim with baby goods. My mates, Chris, Steven, and Joel, followed closely behind. The only one missing was Ronan, and his absence weighed heavily on me. I missed my best friend, but I hadn't yet found it in my heart to forgive him, despite Destiny's constant urging.

Wrong Way Up

Wrong Way Up

He still sends me music when I need it most, often times I play it when I am closing up the bar. Christmas is not the same this year for anyone in the house. The church adopted the kids for Christmas and their gifts are wrapped under the tree. No matter how hard the kids and I try, no one seems to be in the Christmas spirit. This year we are utterly alone. There are no big parties that we will attend, and no one comes to visit. I miss my family very much, and I wish I had the money to take the kids back to them. I try to stay positive during this time. There is a roof over our heads, I have managed to keep the lights on, and the kids have gifts. I remind myself that I am better off than some

There's a phrase, right in the initial chapters, where Noel says she is not old, but is too old to start again. That really got to me, because even now we are taught that. We need more diversity in our female characters, so thanks for writing this.

I absolutely love this book, It has so much depth and it's not all sunshine and roses which makes It that much more real. Hoping it will be finished soon! And if it's by any chance based on a true story, Noel is strong and amazing and worthy of love and happiness, hope she never believes otherwise!

Marriage Contract: the Billionaire and I

Marriage Contract: the Billionaire and I

This Christmas is just like any other Christmas, yet it isn't. I thought it would be the same, but maybe I'm wrong. I keep looking for her even though I know she's not here. I'm with my family just like every year and yet, something is missing. Someone is missing.

Absolutely loved this book! The characters were well drawn & compelling.Their interior dialogue allowed us to understand their emotional state & actions taken.Luvd that it ws love, kindness & compassion that eventually solidified their relationship & allowed them to move forward. Great job, overall.

Such a great story! So many ups and downs, but I’m happy that things worked out. It would have been great to hear more about Sadie and her sister, especially after the hospital incident, but I’ll take it. Great job Author!

Games We Play - Awakening

Games We Play - Awakening

I miss her. *** When I open my eyes on Christmas morning and turn my head to look outside (I'd fallen asleep without bothering to close the curtains) I see the snow has fallen all over our backyard. Everything is white, and the sky is a light gray, which always makes me feel...meh. I miss the sun.
