When the cake arrived, I made sure to sit in front of her and the waitress explained that the cake was from me. "Why did you give me a cake?" I smiled wickedly, aware that she dropped her phone on the table but didn't cancel the call. I mocked. My stomach is really seeking a heavy meal. I haven’t had lunch earlier. Probably the reason why I get hungry. The cake itself can’t cover the hungriness I’m feeling. I smile at myself for the thought, cause that is what I normally read in novels. I hissed as I look at the cake one more time. I was supposed to bake the cake for the mysterious Fahad that loves chocolate cake so much, but I was so engross in my design that I forgot completely and now is too late for me to bake and frost it, that's why I decided to come here and buy it for him. ~Liam~ Three days. I couldn’t feel her presence for three days. The door locked; the curtains drawn; I kept myself isolated in her room. The only time I left was to retrieve the cake. I said remembering her and Isaac's lumpy cake. "All the house staff are off until January and I don't want to go to the mall. I have never felt these butterflies in my stomach for years and guess what, the same feeling is back. Zamir held my waist whilst both my hands were on his shoulder. "I want more cake, Zamir," I said after finishing the whole one. "That's not good for you but if you want, then I'll buy more. Which flavor?" I hummed. "Hmm, red velvet? I have a favorite store where they sell a lot of pastries that suit my tastes. It's not too sweet! It's called Mama Car's!" Zamir's eyebrows arched as we continued to dance. Our body was swaying together with the enchanting music that was playing inside. There were no people inside, just Zamir and I.

Maybe I wasn’t there enough for her, too busy with my own work and ambitions. As I passed her favorite cake shop, I decided to stop by for a moment. Kayra had always loved the chocolate cakes from this place, and maybe this would cheer her up a bit. I hoped the sweetness of the cake would bring a smile back to her face, even if only for a moment. I entered the shop, which was almost closed, but luckily they still had a few chocolate cakes left. After buying them, I immediately headed home with a small hope that this simple surprise would change her mood.
