I Read Comic Books Novels & Stories

I was not going to let them think I was enjoying what they were doing. One of the things they did that got to me was buying comic books. I have loved comic books since I was young. I read a whole lot of them and I never got tired. I saw one lying carelessly on the floor. I was so elated. At first, I thought it was a mistake. But I soon figured out it was an intentional act when I saw another and another. I decided to stop taking them. “I have a surprise for you,” he said with a smile.

Even happier to have our bodies pressed together as we read. Oh boy, I have doubts about reaching ten dates. Because all I can think of is that thick, long dick in my mouth as he read the comic.

Leaving my life behind to follow characters on their journey is the only way I know how to breathe. "I love reading. I'm a bit of a romance novel fan and an avid comic book reader." Jeremy goes into his bag and pulls out old Batman comics. He hands them to me. "I thought you might want to try these. They're my favorite comics." I take them from him. Our hands accidentally touch. "I eat a lot? I like to run. Sometimes I read, but not often. I get bored easily." "What do you read?" I asked. He shrugged. "Comic books. Old fantasy stuff. Never the endings, though—I like the adventures, not the resolutions." I grinned. "That's pretty on brand." He pointed up at me, smile sly. "And you? What do you do when you’re not being dangerous?" I hesitated. The real answer was "nothing," or worse, "disintegrate slowly." Instead, I said, "I read a lot, too. Philosophy, mostly. Sometimes weird science blogs. My mom wants me to do something important with my life."

There were plenty of roofing nails poking through the wood above me. I made it to the boxes with my skull intact and knelt to examine the magazines. My stomach fluttered when I realized there might be Playboy or Penthouse magazines among the contents. At eleven, I knew what they were, but I wasn’t quite at the point I understood what the big deal was, though that fluttering in my gut told me I was almost there. As it turned out, there were no skin mags in the boxes, but to a kid my age, what was in them was an even greater treasure. Old comic books. Tons of them. "I know, I'm obsessed! The characters are so cute." Lucien, my brother, rolled his eyes good-naturedly. "You two and your cartoons. I'm trying to discuss the latest comic book releases here." I playfully hit him on the arm. "Oh, sorry Lucien. But comics are so boring compared to cartoons." Lucien mock-offended, "Hey, comics are not boring! They're actually really deep and complex." I teased, "Oh yeah, sure they are, Lucien. That's why you spend hours reading them every day."

"Do you know how much it's worth?" He smiled and shrugged. "No, I really don't." I stared back at the comic book. Ever since I was little I had tried to collect all the Batman comics.
