It was cold and lacked any warmth. When she was done laughing, she looked at Nana as if she was a dumbass, her eyes twinkling with amusement before leaning close to her and said, “It’s not my fault if you’re always interested in the breadcrumbs I leave behind and—” her voice coming in a pleasant manner as if she was cracking a joke, “Bryan did belong to me until a certain someone entered the game, but don’t worry, I don’t want already used items. Since you want it so much, you can have it. I once learned somewhere that you must give out the things that you don’t need anymore.” When she ended, she stifled a yawn and turned around to leave, but before she could make two steps ahead, she felt h

I walked down the street, the grocery shop was just five blocks away. I got to the shop and started buying all the necessary food stuff that will be okay for me before the week runs out. I bought cabbage, pastas, tomatoes paste, cereals, milk and lot of other things. I was moving trolley slowly when someone shoulder bumped me. "Hey!!!", I said immediately turning to look at who the person might be. But he has already moved so far away from me and was wearing a black hoodie. I felt nervous and scared, someone might be keeping an eye on me.

He'd only taken a brief look at it before placing it back in its box. Just as women often have numerous shades of lipstick, they frequently use only a handful regularly. The rest are typically bought to satisfy a fleeting desire, to sample the shade, valuing the temporary pleasure of ownership over long-term use. Yesterday, Alex overheard Sophie mentioning she'd gift a "Forest King" toy to Lizzy Xia. He found it amusing, wondering why one would want two of the same item. Don’t they serve the same purpose? Yet, that evening, a similar occurrence befell him. Alex couldn't help but chuckle, now vaguely comprehending the child's sentiments from earlier. He also began to understand the allure of

I know I have seen it somewhere before, and the urge to possess it grows stronger. As I gaze at the necklace, memories flood back. I recall seeing it with Grandpa Miller, who once told me it belonged to his late wife. Its intricate design and sentimental value make it irresistible; I know I have to win this bid, but I ask myself why is it even here at the auction. Panic sets in as I start to think that perhaps Grandpa Miller is bankrupt and might be present at the auction, forced to sell this cherished family heirloom. My mind races with worry, and I scan the room anxiously, hoping to catch a glimpse of him and confirm my fears.

I muttered. I was sure I dropped it on the table. But for a reason I could not place my hands on , it was nowhere to be found. That bracelet is worth a lot to me. Not made of silver or diamond, not even gold. But then, it had the most value of all things I held dear . Losing it would drive me nuts.

I thought: I am going to find out why it was taken. I thought: I am going to find out everything about that kitchen on that day. I thought: and when I have it all, when I have the complete and specific account of what happened to her, I am going to give it to her. I thought: because it belongs to her. I thought: her history belongs to her. I thought: and no one with a cream envelope and a label printer gets to use it as currency. I closed the drawer. I picked up my phone.

Possession. "I—I don’t know what you’re talking about," I whispered, my voice barely mine. His fingers tightened, cold pressure biting into my skin. "Olivia," he murmured, leaning in until his breath ghosted over my lips. "Something pulled you away from me. Something made you run." His gaze slid down my throat as though he could see the bond tugging painfully beneath my skin. "You felt something." I swallowed hard, my pulse hammering. The bond twisted—sharp, protesting—almost as if it could hear its name.

Speaking of which, the old lady then subconsciously touched her right wrist and said seriously, “I have an ancestral bracelet, and that thing looks very much like Milletia, which may not even be worth five dollars. I am certain that it was still on my hand before my memory loss, but I did not have it with me anymore when I woke up on the bus...” As the old lady spoke, she hurriedly explained, “Young man, don’t misunderstand me. I’m not suspecting that someone stole my belongings, but I suspect that I gave my bracelet away during that period of time that I have no memory of. After all, that thing looks worthless, so absolutely no one would steal it in that situation, so the only possibility i

I blinked slowly. Mama Norris’s ICEBERG ring?? That thing was famous, she insisted it be so. Everyone had seen it, gawked at it. The damn thing should be in a museum, in the Tower of London. For all I knew it was priceless. There was no way in hell I wanted to wear that thing, it would make me fall over. What would I do with it while I was working? But the sentiment of it washed over me. She was willing to give away her most prized possession … to me? To me of all people?? She wanted me in Slade’s life that permanently?
