“I hope you are being careful, Zack,” his father said seriously. Zack rolled his eyes at his father’s words. “Careful? He scoffed. “Dad, I am always careful.” He leaned back on the couch, stretching his arms above his head. “Besides, she is not like the others,” he said, his tone softening slightly. “She is special.” His father sat down beside him, placing a hand on his shoulder. “I know she is, but that does not mean you can be reckless.” Zack sighed, turning to look at his father. “I am not being reckless, I just... I really like her,” he insisted. He paused, a rare moment of Vulnerability crossing his face. “She makes me want to be a better person,” he admitted quietly.
