In the quiet of the night, a loud banging echoes through the air, startling both Arthur and Madin from their deep sleep. Madin stirs first, rubbing his eyes groggily as he sits up. The pounding on the door grows louder, accompanied by muffled voices outside. Without thinking, Madin drags himself out of bed and stumbles toward the door. He unlocks it, the heavy wooden door creaking open, and what he sees on the other side freezes him in place.

When Ian opened Lieutenant Jack's door, he was surprised to find out that the door was not locked. He had first rung the bell, but there was no reply. He knocked as well but still did not get any response. That was when he decided to open the door and was surprised to see that it wasn't locked.

Peering through the open doorway, I see only the dimly lit familiarity of my own room stretching out before me. No guards burst through to apprehend me for the abrupt disturbance. I send a silent prayer of thanks to the heavens.

“It’s Carson!” Carson, who had grown impatient from waiting, pounded on the door with his fists. “Adriana, what are you up to? Hurry up and open the door—it’s an emergency!”
