Night vision goggles covered her eyes, and a Bluetooth headset covered her ears. “How does it look from up there?” Warren asked. He and the remaining members of the Arcane Seekers trudged through the ankle-deep snow, spring may have come to Alberta, but Fort Vermillion didn't get the memo. Not that it matters with the town under siege by ravenous dog people called Adlets. Which brought the Scald Crow to a remote location. “We're clear. How are you doing?” air rushed against Therias microphone as she floated through the air. It didn't hide the worry in her voice.

Aria was stunned to realize that she couldn’t tell, and Jason looked just as stumped as she was. This was worrying… Aria bit her lip. There was only one way to find out. It was a little risky this early on in the mission, but she had to address this uncertainty. The argument behind them had escalated into a full-on brawl. While Jason kept Cyrrus occupied, Aria took another sip of her drink, coughed to bring her hand to her mouth, and then flicked the chunk of ice she had slipped into her fingers behind her. It hit one of the thugs smack in the back of the head.

His eyes were already searching for the only person he came to the Hillary campus for. The moment he found him, his name slipped from his mouth like a quiet promise. “Noa.” His gaze locked onto the one thing that always gave him away. The bold letter C represents Captain, which was stitched proudly onto the chest of his jersey. Even from across the rink, he stood out effortlessly. He moved across the ice with calm precision, every stride smooth and controlled. His turns were sharp, his stops clean. When he passed the puck, it traveled exactly where it needed to go without hesitation.

He stopped tapping my cheeks and looked at the man behind him, the man with blue eyes. “She’s a hunter Alarick,” silver guy nodded and looked at me again. “So, did you have a good sleep?” Alarick, the silver guy asked. I groaned and look the other way, just when I am about to close my eyes, Alarick, the silver guy, softly grabbed my chin and controlled it to look at him. Both of them seemed unfazed by my presence and I can only think of one thing; they’ve killed a lot of humans that an alive one doesn’t scare them at all.

Very gruesome but at least we’re allowed to shift. An Arcapy is a beast that dwells in caves just outside of our campus. It looks like a combination of different animals, with sharp claws and scales covering its body. It has horns, fangs, and a menacing, wild look. We have to hunt it, kill it and then bring back it’s head. It would be simple enough if they weren’t so fierce about protecting their territory. I’m excited for the hunt and I can’t wait to see how my little lucky charm handles this one.

She said confusing Alec more. “You don't know?” Alec asked and Lilith shook her head. She was trying to keep her heart at bay as Alec stood beside her. “I’m looking for a weapon I can call my own, I want a new one.” Lilith said and Alec went forward. “What about a bow and arrow?” He asked and Lilith raised an eyebrow. “What are we in? The 17th century?” She asked and put the bow and arrows down and looked around. His eyes then caught something that he knew would be perfect for her.

Except statues didn’t burst into motion. Suddenly, the wolves were gone, disappearing into the only darkness beyond the line of trees. Follow them. Lucas gave the signal. Remember we are here to keep them safe, not stop them. She was a marvel of realism—a male-coded figure (I'll keep the female figure as Lucy/Aurora for the tech context but center the interaction on the male lead's perspective), standing five feet tall with sleek silver casing and a human-like fluidity. Suddenly, I am the tip of the spear. "I’m clear!" I bellow. Mateo answers with a guttural grunt of affirmation. The puck meets my stick. I launch it with every pound of Alpha strength I possess, sending it screaming over the goalie's shoulder and into the back of the net. The final buzzer sounds. 5-6. Victory is ours. The Pacific Ice Arena erupts into a chaotic symphony of triumph. There has never been this level of fervor at a Stormbreakers game.
