There was a knock on the door, and to my surprise, Grace walked in.
She looked absolutely furious, and Gibran raised his chained hands.
“I didn’t—”
“I checked the spells and the protective wards,” Grace snapped, her face red with rage. “Someone decoded everything, and not only that, they broke the viable lines of invisibility that were healing everything to warn the population. You’d better explain to me how the hell that happened.”
I looked at Gibran with raised eyebrows, and he didn’t take his eyes off Grace.
“I won’t talk to you, not like this,” Gibran told Grace, and she slapped him so hard that one of the guards came in to see what had happened.
