I took a deep breath and made the most terrifying decision of my life. "I choose both of you," I said, my voice steady despite my racing heart. "But if you can't accept sharing my love, then I choose neither.”

I replied shrugging. "I can become a damsel in distress just for him." She said dreamily. "Urgh! Why are you even my twin?" I asked her groaning. "You see! When I was going to born I pleaded the god saying 'God, God! I will be very alone if I don't enter this world with a twin so please send some boring person with me so that my life will be wonderful' and here you are breathing as my twin." She replied and applauded for herself.

Tyr was clawing at the surface now. Maverick stepped closer, his grin turning arrogant. “Why? She is a stunning beauty, kind, sweet, hot, and I would be honest - I like her. We are twins. It’s not exactly new for twins to share a mate.” My nostrils flared. Maverick had a death wish. My chest heaved, my heart rate accelerating to a lethal pace. “Twins have sometimes the same fated mate, not chosen one,” I spat. My fury was only fueling Maverick’s ego. “Does it actually matter? Or are you afraid if you let her choose, she would actually pick me over you?”

I couldn't tell how genuine his words were, but when I remembered about what happened to me and how my pup was skinned alive in my past life, all I could feel was disgust. I didn't hold back and said, "You think too highly of yourself. Don't forget you and Kai are twins, and the fate between twins is shared. Both of you are my fated mates, so you're never my only choice."

Desperately. “Actually…I’m not,” I turn to face her, reaching for her hands this time. “About that twin thing…is it possible that I never carried a second child? I pouted, shaking her. “ Okay, okay,” Still laughing. “ Sorry, you can't feel the same for the both of them. They are both different. It is like you having your two favourite foods given to you and you can't pick the both, just have to pick one and if you don't, you will lose the both of them. He just whispered, “You’re stronger than you know, Elena.” And he left. The door shut. The silence afterward was crushing. I leaned against the window and let out a shaky breath. My heart felt bruised. My soul felt torn. But there was also… relief. Real, deep relief. For once, I wasn’t choosing between men. I was choosing myself. I turned back toward the twins. They slept soundly, oblivious to the storm I had just unleashed. I walked to them, kneeling beside their beds once more. “I won’t let anyone decide my fate,” I whispered into the quiet room. “Not Damien. Not Zephyr. Not the Council. Not even the Goddess.”

Blakely “You may ask us one question each,” The first twin grinned, rocking back on his heels. The second snickered, “Best of luck.” I chewed the inside of my cheek. There were several ways I could go about this, but what if I were wrong? “What affects me affects you. I didn't cost for myself to be a twin and neither did I choose you to be my twin. Its Fate. “Just because we are twins does it mean you have to make a mistake because you know that at the end of it all, we'd share the consequences. Just because we are twins does not mean I should suffer for your mistake,” I shot back. “This little mistake is gonna cost us so much.” Silence filled the room. The awkwardness palpable.

“You know, it's funny that the twins found their mates.” Sabine laughed bitterly. “Yeah. Those lucky fat bitches.” Raven looked at her. “And I got a set of twins instead of just having one mate.” Sabine's eyebrows lifted. Raven frowned. “Why wouldn't you take the twins? They were amazing. I would give my left paw to have both of those gorgeous, virile men as my mates. And you rejected that?” She shook her head. “How dumb can you be?” Raven laughed. “I'm not dumb.
