" Came barely a whisper from behind me. I look up at the mirror above the bar and I see her. "Dom." She said again but her hand reached out to me. I shoved her arm back. I shook my head. Hallucinations. Next check on the list for going insane from losing your mate. "Dom. It's me." She whispered again. I growled and stood up and chugged what was left of the bottle. "Sorry Gerald. But the sanity I have left I need to fight some more of these holed up humans." I announced throwing down a wad of cash.

CHAPTER 25 – CLAIMED AGAINST THE WALL ANITA'S POV Yeah. As far as I’m concerned, there is only one conclusion I can draw: this man is possessed—terribly, hellishly possessed—beyond anything I could ever imagine. Goodness. What in the living hell is the meaning of this? The thought cuts through me with a heavy frown as I push against his chest, trying to free myself, but his grip is unyielding. “Stop being so ridiculous,” he growls, his voice laced with mock patience. “I’m trying to be soft with you, but it seems like you want it the hard way. It seems like you love it the hard way, huh?”

anger started pulsating in me. "I'll call you whatever I want, little one". She again stated with a smirk. "You don't know what I can do to you" I said while gritting my teeth. She took my hand and place it on her throat. "Then do it" she whispered. Is she insane?

"If I were her, I'd probably pretend to be mute and stay silent for years too. That voice is enough to make anyone want to gouge their own ears out!" My desk was kicked over, sending all the books scattering across the floor. Alice yanked my hair hard, then she raised her hand and slapped me across the face. "I'm talking to you, Summer! Your mute act is over, and now you're deaf? Can't hear anyone, right?" I shoved her with all my strength. "Let go of me!"

I didn’t see Mara again after that conversation, no note or message slipped under my door, nothing to tell me whether she had meant what she said or whether I had imagined the entire thing out of my utmost desperation to believe someone was still fighting for me. Low-key, I felt really angry but another part of me just gave up on the idea that she’d stay true to her words, whatever happened, I would still prevail regardless. ****** The silence ate at me worse than Ingrid’s drawings ever had but at least Ingrid gave me something to brace against and I clearly couldn’t say I missed it, that girl was hella crazy. It was just that the more the silence was, the more it gave me time to spiral.

When I open them, Luke is still watching me, waiting. "I need to get my bags," I whisper into the phone. "Luke will take care of everything. Just come to me." But it penetrated that person's cavernous gaze ,who was still standing at a far distance from her, but now his feets had started making their way on their own towards her, towards his insanity's sanity. Inessa , who had her eyes closed by now felt a gloomy silence to wash over her entire surrounding ,as people who were whispering murmuring talking had became completely quiet, like her entire surrounding got deprived of every sensation and movement and the only thing which could be heard was a loud and thudding sound of shoes tackling on the wooden floor, which started getting more closer to her.
