I Am Mustafin
The scene unfolds with startling clarity: a younger Efrem, seated and expressionless, as a man in a lab coat injects something into his neck.
“Agitasynth,” the Efrem—my Efrem—beside me explains, his voice tight. “A dangerous combination of amphetamine, synthetic cathinone, and cocaine. It induces hallucinations and conjures anger at its greatest capacity.”
I watch in growing horror as Efrem transforms on screen. His breathing becomes erratic, chest heaving with each labored breath. His eyes darken, pupils dilating until only a thin ring of color remains. His hands tremble uncontrollably, fingers curling into tight fists.
