Taking slow steps while enjoying every single drop of rain that was drenching Daisy’s head to toe, Daisy crossed the empty road and headed towards the small lawn exactly at the opposite of their car. A huge and quite old banyan tree was standing along owning a huge part of the lawn. There was nothing except that tree. Facing the sky Daisy closed her both eyes and opened her both hands. It was raining cats and dogs. Nicolas shouted scrolling down the window of the front seat, “Daisy, it is raining heavily. Have you gone crazy?”

A shudder raced down my spine but I didn’t stop running. ‘BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!’ Shit! I hadn’t noticed that I had stepped out into oncoming traffic. My heart raced, the pain in my jaw forgotten in the moment of being almost hit by a car. ‘Why can’t I catch a break? All I want is for someone to love me for me and to protect me. Lord knows I need it now.’ I silently prayed. I hadn’t noticed that I was kneeling in the middle of the street in the pouring rain until a hand gently rested on my shoulder.

"Why would a nice, clean sea of water smell like blood?" She moved closer and stared into the black water, her mind jolting at what her eyes perceived. she blinked and saw... It was nothing more than a sea of black water...then what had she seen awhile ago? Qing Yue could've sworn she saw an eye! It was a giant eye smeared with various vein-like throbbing bloodlines. But the disturbing part wasn't the veins. It was how the intersecting veins resembled the waterlines of the New World Formation? What's going on...? How could the veins of an eyeball possibly resemble the waterlines of the New World Formation? And why would they resemble the New World Formation at all?

It was coming at me and when I know it, I was inside the eye of the storm. I was flying when I was looking at the wind that was throwing me up and up into the atmosphere. I was gritting my teeth before I was flying through the storm. I was trying to focus on how to get on the other side, to the front entrance of the cave. I was swirling around with the storm before I was closing my eyes and I can sense that storm was now for me to command. I was looking through my eyes as I felt my eyes were burning. It was on infrared mood now. I was looking at the cave before I was swirling toward it. Then I heard the storm was speaking to me.

The silence wasn’t tranquil; it was expectant. I reached for the map, my thumb tracing the path to Kansas City. The storm was on its way. This time, I wasn’t merely a part of it. I was its eye.

I was frozen in place for what felt like forever. I did not shed even a single tear. It turned out that when a person felt the most devastated they had ever felt, they would not even be able to cry. The sun dipped below the horizon. A blood-red glow swallowed everything. The television said it would get hotter in the next few days. It was dry, so we had to be careful about fires.
