The Red Wolf
fight it, whatever it could be.
With a deep breath, I bring my hand down in a swift motion, my claws scratching across his face, digging into his left eyebrow and lid, only just missing the eye as he closed them at the very last second. His blood pools beneath my extended nails like ink on a quil, as red liquid slowly drips down onto the blades of grass at my feet, gliding down to the soil below, staining the earth. I stare down at the blood on my claws and skin, slightly bent over still as a prickling sensation spread up the nerves of my arms and my fingers start to burn like they are coated in acid as my body stiffens, tensing to the point where I feel like I can't move. A screaming sound
