Both guards took a half-step forward to attack me, but Vince signaled them to stop.
Vince turned his eyes on me — cold, sharp, curious.
“Is there a problem, Titan?” he asked, his voice low, and raised a thick brow.
I swallowed.
My heart was pounding in my ears, but I kept my voice even.
“She’s still recovering,” I said. “She’s not strong enough. Please, spare her.”
