One Night Stand with My Brother's Best Friend

One Night Stand with My Brother's Best Friend

Carissa's POV “Don’t you feel lonely?” I asked cautiously. Dylan thought for a moment. “Sometimes, yes. But over time, I got used to it. Loneliness… isn’t an enemy, more like an old friend that comes and goes.” I gripped the pillow tighter. “I understand what you mean.” He turned his head and looked at me. “Do you feel the same way?” I took a deep breath. “Yes. I often feel that way. There are moments when I’m surrounded by people, but I still feel alone. Oddly enough, there are moments when I’m alone, but I feel full.”

The set up

The set up

As I returned to my apartment, the familiar solitude embraced me, and a sense of loneliness washed over my heart. The space I called home was quiet, the silence a constant companion. I couldn't help but reflect on the fact that, apart from Patrick and Kelvin, I didn't have any real friends in my life. The realization weighed on me as I moved through my apartment, a gentle sigh escaping my lips. Loneliness had become a steady presence, a reminder that while I was dedicated to my work and passions, I yearned for meaningful connections and companionship.

Perer Ford: Diary of a Stranger

Perer Ford: Diary of a Stranger

One might start a journey with a footstep, the thrill of an amazing adventure and bearing in mind, whatever he or she may be able to discover at the other end of the road. Life means considerably more than just living and most of the time we get trapped in our daily activities that we forget to realise that our imperfect bodies needs some form of excitement. But Uncle Max did not see life the way I saw it – rather he went to work, came back from work, ate, sleep and then repeat. With a new smile on his face every morning, he always joked about his boss calling him a loner. Something I was not unfamiliar with. A loner is a man who is alone. A man who enjoys avoiding the company of others. As

The Alpha's Rejection, The King's Obsession

The Alpha's Rejection, The King's Obsession

But for now, I was stuck, unable to move or escape. I had no one to call my own. No family, no friends, no loved ones to turn to. The loneliness was overwhelming, a heavy weight that pressed down on me. I felt like a leaf blown by the wind, without roots or a place to belong. The emptiness echoed through my soul, a reminder of all that was missing. In a world full of connections and relationships, I stood alone, a solitary figure without a safety net or a shoulder to lean on. The isolation was profound, and I wondered if things would ever change.

Forbidden Temptations (A Collection of Steamy Tales)

Forbidden Temptations (A Collection of Steamy Tales)

If not, it would have been easier for him to figure out my escapade. “Where were you?” I was really hoping he wouldn’t ask that, but what did I expect? I have a friend now, so I guess I have to endure the cons as much as I enjoy the pros. Don’t get me wrong. I really do like it that I now have someone to look up to. But at times like this, I begin to realize what I enjoyed being a loner. Things I overlooked, like being where you want and doing what you want at any time, without being answerable to anyone because you had to be with the person.

Third Chance Mate

Third Chance Mate

I had learned not to let anyone breach those defenses. This generosity has gotten me nowhere, and everyone ends up using me for their own purposes. Nobody will play with your feelings if you are heartless. I am a loner who does not require the company of others. I had walked through every stage of my life alone since there was no one to advise me on living it and making the most of it. Even if I haven't figured out how to make the most of my life, I can still live on my own. "You don't need anyone, Astrid. Even when you're at your lowest, you don't need anyone to recall how you made yourself proud many times. You graduated on your own even if nobody was to cheer you up," I told myself.

What a beautiful story! I loved the interaction between Rafael and Astrid. It seem was really cute how Rafael acted like older teenager at times when he was around her. I do hope someday you will continue to write again, your story left me wanting more everytime I had to close the app.

Going Rogue

Going Rogue

I didn’t want anyone to think I was here to cause trouble, so I kept my distance from everyone! The solitude was nice, but after a week on my own I started to feel the emptiness of truly being alone. For the first time in my life, I could understand how a wolf could lose their mind and go feral. We’re pack creatures by nature and being alone for too long is not healthy. I hated to admit it, but I might need to find someone to connect with, just to keep my mind sane.

This was actually a really good book. Glad I gave it a try. She really was trying to help in her own way but some people are just so selfish. I hate that she had to go through all of that but I’m glad she got a happy ending.

Good story, different from many other stories and there was some surprises... Really a tragic story even if it ended well in the end. I did skip easy over some parts to get faster through the story, but the plot was interesting.

" No, you owe me many and not off the hook." After the talk with Alexis, it made me wonder who her friend was that she cares so much to ask for a job. When I said she was a lone wolf I meant it. She never had any attachments to anyone because and I quote " friends are too high maintenance and needy. I can't have let's do this, that, go there, wear this, and all that girly shit. I'm a lone wolf I thrive alone. I work better at my own pace. I guess she found the one friend who is not high maintenance and matches her personality. That's good, she is not so alone anymore.

"Do you think Ivanna will agree? I still can't understand how you did it alone. It's not easy to find a therapist and go to them without anyone forcing you" "Because I was alone. I had to do that alone for me. My mom is a heart patient. I couldn't just go and cry in front of her. But Ivanna has Christian which is why she's unable to think about herself. When there are people who think about us, we don't really care. But when loneliness hits, you need to think about yourself to survive. If Ivanna doesn't agree, it won't be completely her fault. Every individual is different" I lift his head and say nothing. Only passes a smile to me and his lips meet mine before I close my eyes in the muse of

Author's note: This book is divided into two parts. and the first part is completed without any cliffhanger. please consider reading the first book and place your review. You can go for reading the 2nd book. That's a fair warning from the author's side and the warning is mentioned in the blurb to

I'm so far loving Tiffany and Sebastian's storyline. I recommend the first part of the book. obviously better than the second part. second part is slow but I'm loving it. If anyone has a problem with the length they can simply read first 150 chapters. still love the first part more. Highly recommend

Alone

I'd rather a death be quick and painless then of freaking starvation. I haven't been taken from my room in days. I wish I knew how long I've been here. Of course no one is probably looking. The only "friends" I had were the ones I worked with at the club. And my boss is probably pissed that I haven't shown up to work. So I'm never going to be found because no one is looking. Downsides of being a loner. If you ever get kidnapped, you're fucked.
