“This way, sir,” Grace whispered as she helped open the door.
Tae walked in and placed Ji-ah on the bed. He did not leave, and this didn’t surprise Grace. Rather, she brought in a clean towel and a bowl of warm water, then stepped out to give them some privacy.
“I don’t know what I will do after the marriage,” Tae whispered, his eyes heavy with emotions he dared not speak of. “I can only be with you like this, hold your hand when you’re unaware, take care of you but never stand up for you… not in public.”
